Feeling Happy

Dakota Gold, our mare from the Standing Rock reservation

I was reading online about Native American Curly Horses, looking up information about our Bashkir Curly mare Dakota Gold's sire, whose name was Ottertail.  He was on the Standing Rock reservation. Imagine my surprise when I saw pictures of Dakota Gold on the website!  Here is the link:

We are quite happy with our girl, and want to buy her (right now we are leasing her).  She is occasionally a hand full, but she is chock full of personality.

We are fascinated by the pictures, since she is wooly and curly right now in her winter coat. She is shedding like mad, and we have never seen her when she is slick coated, like this picture. Also, we ride her western, but she looks great under English tack!

CurlyHorsesRgreat's page 3!  Vision Quest is Dakota's half brother. They were both sired by Ottertail.

Isn't that cool that she is on a web page?  It's been my experience that the dull, boring horse doesn't stretch your riding ability and you need that excitement every now and then.
Although dull and boring makes a good teacher too.
