1. I have been pregnant thirteen times--twice with twins, once with triplets.
2. I have given birth to two living children.
3. My oldest daughter, Mandy, was adopted in an open adoption when she was 16 months old.
4. I used to have a beautiful dark blue Trans Am when I was a teenager.
5. I am exceptionally accident prone.
6. I once galloped a horse who raced in the Kentucky Derby and who won the Florida Derby.
7. I can hold a pencil in my toes and write my name.
8. One of my favorite things to do is smell my baby's head.
9. I have a secret kinship with elephants.
10. All animals like me. A lot. I can handle most injured wild animals with impunity.
11. Relating to the above entry, I had to get rabies shots a few years ago when I was bitten by a cat who had caught a bat.
12. I have pumped my own breast milk for baby bats and possums.
13. I have been a vegetarian on and off for years.
14. I am Magickal.
15. I can pinch with my toes.
16. I squeak like a poodle getting run over by a car when I am doing martial arts.
17. I have a degree in Applied Anthropology and Sociology.
18. I have a degree in Psychology.
19. I am 6 credit hours away from a degree in Biology.
20. I have attended over twenty births as a Doula.
21. Utne Reader once called one of my poems "insightful and scintillating"
22. My first sensei said I was a doormat and too nice.
23. I have no shame when it comes to stealing my children's chocolate if they are foolish enough to leave it laying around the house.
24. Blue used to be my favorite color but now I like purple.
25. I smell everything before I eat it.
26. I prefer to skinnydip.
27. I love to eat meat but feel exceedingly guilty when I do.
28. I am occasionally obsessive.
29. I know hundreds of Appalachian, Scottish, English folksongs.
30. My eyes are brown, my hair is brown. At least it used to be brown, I dye it now.
31. I am very addle pated.
32. I was a Phi Sigma Sigma in college.
33. I lust after Kiefer Sutherland's character on 24.
34. The only reality show I watch is Mad, Mad House.
35. I love Jimmy Stewart movies, particularly Shenandoah.
36. I am part Cherokee, part Irish, part Scottish.
37. I was born at Saint Joseph's hospital in Louisville Kentucky.
38. I had 72 poems and articles published before giving birth to Tabitha.
39. My children sleep in bed with me in my arms and at my breast.
40. I sing most of the day, but I don't have an exceptionally good voice.

84. I lost my first engagement ring by dropping it down inside a heat vent.
85. I once bought a garter snake from some boys because I thought they were going to kill it.
86. I drink tea with milk all day long.
87. I can eat a whole pumpkin pie.
88. I love persimmons.
89. I almost drowned when my cousin Phil tried to teach me to surf.
90. I've had two nasty car wrecks,
91. I was thrown off a horse drawn buggy I was driving and was on Worker's Comp for five years.
92. I can dissociate at will.
93. I can't throw out house plants until they are completely, absolutely brown and dead, thus I have a few very sicklylooking plants in my computer room.
94, I am a Flybaby.
95. I love to get snail mail, love,love.love it.
96. I find it very difficult to throw away magazines.
97. I love snow globes.
98. I collect black and white cat figurines in honor of Amiot and Pagan.
99. I rescue wildlife and pick up injured creatures off highways. I stopped when in labor with Tabitha to get an injured possum.
100. I hide chocolate in little caches all over the house.
101. My mother was fifteen when I was born...her mom was sixteen...thus all the grandmothers I've known.
102. When I was a girl I used to like to catch honeybees in a jar and knock down wasp nests.
103. I prefer to ride horses bareback.
104. I used to shapeshift into a golden Palomino Arabian stallion named Twilight's Goldren Steak of Twilight until I became an adolescent.
105.I always dated creeps but had nice boys as friends until I fell in love with my husband--after being friends first.
106. My husband is named David. My first Boyfriend was named David. At one time, my best friend was also a David.
107. I am almost entirely right brained.
108. I like Christmas decorations. A lot.
109. I like pecan pie.
110. If I could choose the last taste to have in my mouth as I lay dying it would be Barb Bonney's brownies.
111. I dance a lot around the house or in front of women but not at weddings and not in front of most men.
112. I can do a great Loon Call.
113. I collect scrapbooking supplies but never actually get to scrapbook.
114. I often dream that I can fly.
115. I often dream that I am a long way from home and I have to leave various objects behind to get home.
116. I like to play pinochle but not with my husband as a partner because I don't care if I win and he cares a Whole Lot.
117. I often burn food because I get tired of waiting for it to cook and I turn up the heat...or I get distracted and forget it is on the stove. Thus, I have lots of smoke detectors.
118. Both my parent's houses burned to the ground--ten years apart. My stepfather died in the fire.
119. My little brother is bi-racial and young enough to by my child. He is beautiful.
120. I have a whole mouth full of capped teeth.
121. If someone does not smell good it is hard for me to like them. This is not true of children, though, only men.
122. I love to listen to Dougie McClean.
123. Men in kilts make me HOT.
124. I like to sleep naked.
125. I do most of my computer time nursing a baby and typing one handed.
126. I am both a Quaker and a white witch. go figure.
127. I love to roll in hay and straw, preferably not alone.
128. I rescue snake eggs from wood chip piles at stables.
129. I am very fond of mockingbirds and pigeons.
130. I hate to get ink or paint on my skin.
131. I cry easily.
132. I laugh easily. If I laugh too hard, I pee. This will be fixed after my surgery.
133. I am too worried about having people like me and easily hurt when rebuffed.
134. I have had stitches twelve times.
135. I went to the ER three times in the past few months for stupid things...put a splinter completely under and through a fingernail, car accident, falling down steps.
136. When I was training at my BIL's dojo a woman once grabbed my arm at the YMCA pool and told me, "Just leave the bastard." I had to explain my BIL did the nasty bruises, not my dh.
137. I was the Sophomore Sweetheart in Highschool.
138. I've gained forty pounds with my last pregnancy. :-(
139. I am diabetic.
140. I once gave mouth to mouth and CPR to a basset puppy that had been hit by a car.
141. I can see ghosts.
142. I am not afraid of ghosts or dead things.
143. I gave birth to my first daughter alone, in my bath tub, in the second trimester. She died. Her name was Robyn.
144. My sister used to tell me I have no filter between my brain and my mouth--that I say what I think. This is mostly true.
145. I like hot cocoa made with milk but not hot chocolate made with water.
146. I always eat all around the outside of a Reece's Cup first before eating the inside.
147. I HATE to argue.
148. I am dangerous if you mess with my children.
149. I usually wear jeans and t-shirts.
150. I steal my husband's clean socks.
