Meanwhile, back at the stable....

Mandy on Strawberry Bud, a registered Paint mare. She is very sweet, and very fast.

Mickey ("Scared Straight") the Bashkir Curly gelding I am working with. He is very head shy. I'd like to buy him. He is very pretty in motion.

Look at the Curly manes on these babies!

The stallion...Espargo...the sire of those babies.

Sunset in Kentucky

Dakota--can you see how the intelligence just gleams in her eyes? She is the brightest horse I have ever known. She sheds her mane in the summer, but now that I am used to it I like how streamlined she looks.

Stawberry has blue eyes, known as "moon" eyes or "watch" or "glass" eyes by horsemen.

I send out words in praise of the Goddess,
from whom all worlds flow.
Mystery of mysteries, this continual creation,
like a fountain forever bubbling up from the Earth's darkness,
she is a cup that is never empty.
Generous One, eternally giving gifts,
I pray to you, I praise you,
I remember you throughout my day.

I used to ride an Appaloosa named Candy.  She had no mane so we usually just buzzed the little she could grow.  I always like a good mane but it was usually easy to get used to because she was so much fun to ride.
Great pictures, happy horses and girls.

You and your kids are blessed to have horses available. Mandy looks so happy. I wish you could buy Mickey, too. I enjoy seeing your family in so many activities-you are all very lucky. Margo
