Altered book club meeting
If they were servants by nature," said Colon, " you wouldn't have to beat them to get them to obey. It's a brave man who beats a little child. They'll no doubt write songs about your courage."

Tonight the homeschool altered book club met at our house. The girls had a fine time decorating their altered books, with a few breaks for tree climbing and dog walking. I enjoyed having Laura to talk with---adult company is always savored!

I was happy to finish a few layouts tonight. I tried a new technique of burning the edges of a picture to age it. It would work better on a lighter colored photo, but was interesting to try.
