Feeling Happy

Writers Group

If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.
-Will Rogers

Last Thursday night we had our Writer's Group. I am consistently proud of the quality of writing the homeschoolers produce. It was quite a good time, with the exception of  Shelby's wild antics.  She was determined to remain the center of attention. I am scheduling the next Writer's Group where her father can watch her!

Rachael writes:

Yesterday was writing group, and it was most enjoyable. Well, I had cramps, so I took my medicine as soon as I got there, and spent most of the time feeling rather drifty. But Julianne read an article she had published recently, Kas read from a book she'd been writing, Astrid read (well, I read for her, and so did Kas, but whatever) from the story she's working on, and people passed around a few drawings and things, and I read from my most recent and enjoyable piece, referred to as my "museum" piece. (Everyone liked it. I was so pleased. Except that I haven't touched it since October, and now I'm afraid I'll wreck it if I write more in it. Plus I don't know where to take it. Anyway, Kas said it was the best thing she's heard from me.)

I love writing group. :-)
