Feeling Happy
Egyptologists....ve ry serious ones at that
Life is not a problem to be solved, but a mystery to be experienced.
With the exception of the brief diversion of an ER visit, we have been immersed in studying ancient Egypt. Since it was a subject I knew almost nothing about, I am learning as much as the children. We are all so enthusiastic about it that we tend to interject comments into daily conversations with almost anyone about Ancient Egypt. "Did you know Cleopatra was not Egyptian at all but Greek?" "Did you know that mummies had several hundred amulets buried with them?"
We have watched about twelve videos about Ancient Egypt, read countless books, and learned to make amulets and hieroglyphics...this is so much fun!

I have a small piece of real mummy wrapping from when I worked at a med school. I saw the mummy and watched part of the studies they did on him. I have been saving it for about 30 years for the right kid who might appreciate it. Let me know! (FYI, it used to smell bad, not sure if it still does!)
