Horse Heaven: more Bashkir Curly pictures

I have to admit that the more I am around the Bashkir Curly horses, the more I admire them. Dakota Gold is, quite simply, the smartest little mare I have ever met in my life. This can make her more difficult to deal with at times, but she is not mean. She is just very dominant and very intelligent. She is also affectionate and very sweet.

Dakota is now shedding her Curly coat and her neck is smooth coated. Parts of her butt is now smooth, too, but her ears and eyelashes are still tightly curled.

Shelby is fearless around horses, which means we have to watch her carefully.
