Feeling Happy

Best known for her role as DJ Tanner on ABC’s hit sitcom “Full House,” Candace is counted among the most beloved and respected personalities of her generation.
At age five, Candace broke into the business by participating in a number of memorable television commercials. Soon after, she quickly landed multiple guest starring roles on primetime hits such as “St. Elsewhere,” “Growing Pains,” and “Who’s the Boss.”
In 1986, 10 year-old Candace got the call to audition for the roll of DJ Tanner on Full House. Candace impressed the studio executives and producers so much, that they delayed taping the pilot to allow Candace to complete work on her other obligations. The eight-year run of “Full House’ ranks it amongst the most successful series of all time.
During her hiatuses from “Full House” and immediately following the series finale, Candace drew significant critical acclaim while tackling challenging dramatic roles. Her stirring portrayal of an abused teenager in “No One Would Tell” landed Candace a place amongst the most sought after television actresses in town. Following that success Candace starred in “She Cried No,” and “Night Scream” for NBC. All three pictures scored ratings victories for the network. During that time, she guest starred on such network hits as “Cybil’ and “Boy Meets World.”
Candace entered the world of pop culture when she was cast in John Hughes “Some Kind of Wonderful.” Her feature film credits also include “Punchline” with Tom Hanks and Sally Field and the Cohen Brother’s “Frankenstein Sings.”
Over the past few years, Candace has been on a self- imposed hiatus in support of her husband, NHL hockey star Valeri Bure, and their three beautiful children, ages 2,4& 5. The Bure family spends a majority of their time between South Florida, where Val plays for the Florida Panthers, and Southern California, close to work, family and friends. Candace is currently Executive Producing and starring in “The Krew,” a video for children that’s very close to her heart. “The Krew,” available through Amazon.com, is a half-hour awareness video aimed at helping children avoid and deal with dangerous situations in every day life.
Charities:
Candace has a long history of charitable work including significant relationships of giving with the Starlight Foundation and Make-A-Wish, serving as “Kid’s Club” President and International Youth Ambassador. She has worked with her brother’s charity, Camp Firefly and attends benefits for the Schleroderma Foundation (a charity very close to Bob Saget's heart - the disease took the life of his sister). Candace also joined a team to raise money for the breast cancer foundation at the Revlon Run/Walk for Women in 2002.
Christianity:
Candace was 12 years old when she first accepted Jesus - she was brought to church with her family by some friends. But, she confesses, it wasn't until a few years ago that she really found out what being Christian was all about. God is the most important thing in her life. The church Candace attends is a bible teaching church. There is no denomination. It clearly teaches about Jesus Christ and everything the bible states. If you'd like to know more about it, please visit her brother's ministry online @ WayOfTheMaster.com

Candace maintained a hectic travel itinerary in her last year/s of Full House, appearing in more than 30 markets (all over the United States and Canada), drawing crowds averaging more than 10,000 fans and darwn crowds more than 25,000!
