Gizmo......what can I say?  He is the newest addition to our family and what a JOY he is.  Our little Yorkie brightens our days and our home.  Isn't he CUTE?

Hearing The beautiful sound of silence

WELL WHAT A DAY.  IT IS RAINING AND KINDA COLD OUT.  I SURE LIKE WHEN THE SUN IS SHINING!  THINGS ARE WELL WITH ME THESE DAYS.  I WAS JUST READING MY SISTERS JOURNAL AND THOUGHT THAT IT SURE HAS BEEN A LONG TIME  SINCE I HAVE ENTERED AN ENTRY. 

MY OLDEST SON, JUST GOT HIS LEARNERS  PERMIT AND HE IS WANTING TO DRIVE EVERYWHERE.  I GUESS I DID THE SAME THING WHEN I BEGAN DRIVING.  HE SHOT HIS BROTHER IN THE BACK WITH A BB GUN, SO I'M NOT A HAPPY CAMPER ABOUT THAT. THE GUY THAT I'VE BEEN DATING GOT THE BB GUN FOR HIM FOR CHRISTMAS...NEEDLESS TO SAY IT WENT BACK TO THE STORE YESTERDAY AND I TOOK HIS PERMIT AWAY...FUNNY THING HIS LITTLE BROTHER BEGGED ME TO NOT TAKE HIS BROTHERS PERMIT AWAY.  I'M NOT SURE MY OLDER SON UNDERSTANDS THE SITUATION AND HOW HE NEEDS TO BE RESPONSIBLE WITH THE SMALL THINGS BEFORE I WILL ALLOW HIM TO GET BEHIND THE WHEEL (ALL THE TIME). 

FUNNY THING IS, THE GUY I AM DATING AND I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT CARS FOR MY SON......BUT I WILL NOT CONTINUE THAT FOR NOW.  HE NEEDS TO SHOW INTEREST IN WORKING BEFORE I PROCEED FORWARD.

I WENT TO TUNICA FOR A SALES MEETING IN JANUARY, IT IS A VERY LARGE CASINO CITY AND WE HAD OUR SALES MEETING THERE FOR 3 DAYS.  IT WAS A BLAST, I LOST SOME MONEY AND HAD A GOOD TIME, THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVERY BEEN TO A CASINO. 

THIS PAST SATURDAY NIGHT WE HAD OUR YEAR END MEETING AND OVER 500 PEOPLE WHERE THERE.  ALL THE EMPLOYEES FROM 5 SURROUNDING STATES AND THEIR GUESTS.  I TOOK STEVE (MY MAN FRIEND) AND HE HAD A GOOD TIME.  I WASN'T SURE ABOUT HOW HE WOULD DO OUT AROUND MY PEOPLE, BECAUSE HE REALLY IS A KINDA LONER.  BUT WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME, HE EVEN DANCED WITH ME. I HAD A BLAST TOO.. THE COMPANY WENT ALL OUT ALL THE WAY, BECAUSE IT WAS THEIR 50 YEAR CELEBRATION AS WELL AS THE YEAR END MEETING.  IT WAS DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE AT THE DOUBLETREE HOTEL.  I CHEATED ON MY DIET, BUT IT WAS OK..

I'M STILL NEW AT THIS JOURNAL THING, SO I THINK IT WILL TAKE MORE TIME FOR ME TO REALLY USE THIS MEDIUM IN A PRODUCTIVE WAY.  FOR NOW IT IS JUST INFORMATIONAL, NOT SO MUCH THERAPUTICAL AT THIS POINT.

WELL, I WILL CLOSE FOR NOW.  I'VE ATTACHED A COUPLE OF PHOTOS THAT STEVE TOOK AT HIS HOUSE.  I'VE LOST 19LBS TOTAL BUT HAVE LOTS TO GO,  MAN...IF I WERN'T SO OK WITH WHO I AM MAYBE THIS WOULD BE SO HARD....!!!!  LOL!!!

I'm having a friend over for dinner tonight.  It is my night to cook, and Montie my LA Weight Loss partner and I share dinner a few nights a week and we will do our Easy Steps video and I'm sure we will feel GREAT afterwords. 

Today I've done really good, I've had the following:

Breakfast:  1/2 bagel with Fat Free Strawberry Cream Cheese, 1 egg, and a small apple

Lunch: (Chamber of Commerce Luncheon) 6 oz. Roast Beef, salad with no dressing, 1/2 of the mashed potatos, unsweetened Ice Tea (with Splenda)and one of my LA Lite Bars.

Dinner Menu: 7 oz of Ground Turkey for a Taco on soft shell, lettus, tomato, fat free sour cream, low fat cheese, small salad and a Strawberry Smothy made with frozen strawberries made with one of the LA Strawberry Shake mixes.

My dinner partner will be here soon, I may edit this if needed. So stay toned.  I will weigh in tomorrow right before I go to the Preditors Hockey Game in Nashville.  I have to travel to Nashville to weigh in at the LA Weight Loss office. 

Wednesday I'm off to Tunica for a Sales meeting for 3 days.  I hope I can keep my goals while I'm gone. I understand that my company has lots of food and fun planed for the Sales Reps.  I will have to stick to my guns on it.  I have a goal and I need to continue to get that THIN mind set.

Hearing My son taking a shower

Well the New Year has begun and I'm doing very good.  You know that I am new to this online journal stuff, so I will do my best.  This feels a bit strange typing my life or my day.

I have lost 4 lbs in 6 days, and doing well with my goals.  It is a challenge for sure, however once the thought process is changed then I believe that the eating habits will follow.

I started my L.A. Weight Loss "Take Off" last Monday, January 2nd and actually started the program January 4th, weighed in yesterday and have lost 4 lbs.  YAHOO!!!!  (I took about a 5 month break and gained 11 of the 23 that I lost originally).  I met a man that liked to feed me. (I wonder if that runs in our family) Anyway, I'm feeling pretty good I've worked out each day and today I walked a mile with a friend of mine. It was a beautiful day in Tennessee.  My boyfriend is trying to do the diet with me, however he can only stick to it when he is with me. He went home today and he has already cheated on his food, but he will do fine with his own diet program. (We'll see)

I don't share as much as my little sister at this point, maybe more later as I become familiar with just how this works for me. 

I think as time goes on I may share more, but for now surface stuff is fine for me.

Hearing Washer and Dryer at work

Today is the last day of 2005 and I'm Hopeful about 2006 (no pun intended).  I learned about this Online Journal stuff from my sister, who journals on here.  You can read her journal too (cottoncandi12306).  Anyway, I've decided that this might be a GREAT way to express my feelings and thoughts and I understand it can be quit therapeutic at the same time. So here goes...

 I need to get back to my LA Weight Loss program, so I'm starting that on Monday.  Getting my mind back on work (I'm in Sales) and forgetting about this dating thing.  I started giving thought to dating about 1 yr. ago and I went on a few dates. (After not dating for over 13 years ) this was a very big step for me.  If you read my "All About Me" I'm a single parent and have been VERY busy raising my two sons.  They are getting older now, so I thought dating is something I should give thought to. 

I've meet several nice men, and been dating a man (study) since August 2005. He is a fine fellow, however we have a few differences that concern me. So, I'm backing up a bit.  This dating thing is all new to me.  Anyway I'll share more about that at a different time.

I am the 6th child of 7 and we range from age 58 to 41, and live in a few different states.

Well, I'm going to close for now and journal more at another time.
