Last night as the husband was having dinner one of our six indoor kats decided to help himself to dads milk............this went on for about 15 minutes.

He would look at the glass.......dip his paw in and then lick the milk off the paw. On occasion he would like the table as he had spilled..............

It's that time of year when our FUR kids are being extra good. Nice not naughty. They have visions of catnip and toys whirling in their widdle kitten heads. Nessie and Angus are no different. Here they are being extra good. Actually Nessie and Angus love each other so they are just being themselves while their human poppa takes brag pictures.

Well, you know we have 5 cats and 1 dog, but our family just got bigger!

Here's the background story; Neighbor down the street has an older female cat that has babies all the time because the owners are neglectfull. After offering and taking their cat to be spayed, they had found homes for the previous litter the mama cat had except for one.. one lil' cute orange and white furball.

Through the 'grapevine" I heard that the neighbor couldn't stand this 3-4 month old kitten, wasn't letting it in anymore, and was quoted saying, "I want to leave it outside, maybe it'll get run over, I hate that cat." Soooo ....we went and rescued the kitten, thinking we could find a home.. boy did we ever!

This kitten is actually a brother to Jelly (she came from the same mama cat from a previous litter) This is Jelly

and this is our new addition, Ziggy Stardust! (Ziggy for short)3-4 months old

Holding him, reminds me of Polli... he's the sweetest kitten! He is so mild-mannered and precious! I don't think a person is whole until they hold a kitten while it sleeps in your arms or on your shoulder!

I'm in kitty-love, lol.

Our dear friend, RogueThistle009, sent us some updated pictures of his little fur girl Nessie. She has gone from a fuzzy kitten to a sleek and beautiful Siamese. She still plays and is kittenish but the look in her eyes tells you she is the Queen of all her domain. Thanks for sharing her with us Rogue.

Polli Passes to the Rainbow Bridge

Polli, our 4 month old 24 toed Siamese kitten died today. A blood stain marks the spot on the street.

She was more than "just a cat".... she would let me pick her up and put her on my shoulder while she purred and laid there, my little warm bundle of purr. I also called her my little meerkat, because her ears were far apart and she stood up sometimes like one. She would follow me around and look up at me with the most loving look.

We only had her 3 months. She was rapidly wrapping me around her extra paws, she was so amazing and different from any cat I've ever had.

I don't know how to express my pain, because it's so great. So maybe by sharing these pictures and this story, you can know the joy that she brought my family.Don't forget to pray for Jelly (her calico companion) She will miss her big sister, they were inseparable.

A sad story, but one that Catwoman Catera wants to tell

Yesterday morning, while carpooling to work, we came upon a street with 3 puppies lying dead on the ground in the middle of the road. As we slowly maneuvered our way around them, (taking note to call animal control so they could be removed) we noticed a small, flea-bitten (part sharpei looking) puppy sitting next to its dead siblings. Shocked, we stopped, we just had to get the puppy out of the road and get it to the shelter! It was so scared, and obviously in shock, covered with fleas, ants, flies and sores, trying to stay near it's brothers and sisters. I can't believe how stupid people are!

Well, we took it home to clean it up, using flea shampoo and called animal control to pick up the rest.

We have too many animals, and so we got it ready to take to the shelter, we just KNEW it would be adopted, cute as it was! At the shelter, they said they couldn't take it in, being a small facility and that they had no veterinarian there, so they would most likely euthanize it. So, we took it to the city shelter, and right then, they classified it as a Pit-bull. (although it looks more like a sharpei, with it's wrinkles)

I wasn't aware that pit bulls are outlawed here, and when I called today to check on it, they informed me that they were going to have to euthanize it, since it was a pit-bull (not). Imagine, my desolation, I was heart-broken! I cried and became very depressed, seeing as that I had gone out of my way just to save this little puppy, and now it was going to be euthanized because of someone's interpretation of it's species!

Well, after crying my eyes out on the phone with my mother, she made many calls to the animal shelter and finally got someone to listen, and they said we could come pick it up as long as we said, "Oh, yes, it's ours, we made a mistake".. whatever to get it back!

!!!!!!! Well, jeez... we are justa zoo now, but I couldn't be happier.. he/she is going to the vet tomorrow, to make sure everything's ok, then we find a name.

Went to the vet today, ruled out the pit bull... SHE is part shar pei.. We named her Pei Pei.. poor lil' thing, she has 2 types of worms, mange, and a skin infection and was very dehydrated and wouldn't eat.. Now, a huge change from this morning, she's eating, she's running around and wagging her tail and I think she understands that peeing is done outside.. I hope .. :)

Remember how much younger she looked a week ago? Now that she's well fed, re-hydrated, and doing well on her antibiotics, she is so much healthier and has gained 3 lbs.!!

RPCathouse has sent us new pictures of her fur babies. Main Coon kittens are always so very sweet and cuddly and these four are no different. Makes you want to reach through the screen and just hold and cuddle them.

Well Catwoma Catra's fur family is growing with leaps and bounds. She has Siamon and Tika the Siamese fur kids and then Polli arrived. She is a Polydactyl and very beautiful and a real love. Then Snickers arrived. Well that is her name for right now. She is a beautiful calico kitten that is a great friend to Polli. Snickers seems to sleep really deeply and can be posed for some great pictures too. What a beautiful family. Thanks For Sharing.
