CAT TALES For May 2008
Greetings all, welcome to the May edition of Cat Tales.
I am really not looking forward to sending out an email with, "Cat Community of AOL closed due to lack of interest" We need your help to keep the Cat Community a live. We are doing our best to continue to bring you hosted cat chats however with the loss of some hosts this is becoming very diffcult to do. We need more people to become cat chat hosts. So if your interested please send me an email.
We also are looking to you to send us interesting cat items, poetry, questions, articles and web sites you'd like share about cats for the newsletter.
Just send them to me and I'll make sure they get into the newsletter.
Animal Disaster Preparedness Day is the second Saturday in May 10th
It is a great idea to have a disaster plan for your animals and family in place.
If you do have one now is a good time to review it or hold a practice run.
If you don't have one now is the time to create one.
This coming Thursday the 1st in our Rescue Cat Chat we
will be discussing why it is a good idea to have a disaster plan.
Come join me and others in the discussion
We are looking for your input about holding another online Cat Show
The amount and type of feedback will determine if we will hold a
Cat Show or not. So I'll be looking foward to hearing from you all and
whatyou think about the cat show idea.

Cat Tales for April 2008
Greetings all, welcome to the April edition of Cat Tales. They say April showers bring May flowers, but in the world of animals April brings on the third week Animal Cruelty/Human Violence Awareness Week.
It's an established fact the people who abuse animals eventual move up to abusing humans. Every serial killer started out on animals. Here are some web sites where you can find out more about animal abuse and how to help with the problem.
We our doing our best to keep the Cat Community a live and kicking on AOL. We need your help to do this. We need more people to become cat chat hosts for us. We have recently lost more of our hosts and that is making it diffcult to continue to hold scheduled cat chats on a regular basis. So if your interested please send me an email.
We also are looking to you to send us interesting pieces, poetry, questions and web sites you'd like share about cats for the newsletter. Just send them to me and I'll make sure they get into the newsletter.

A Special Note
I want to apologize to you all for Cat Tales not being sent out last month and my being absent from hosting Rescue Cat Chat. My computer decided to have a nervous break down the beginning of Feb. It subsequently died after 2 weeks of trying to fix it. I ordered a custom built computer online and it just showed up on Friday. I have been offline for over a month. I'm back now and have missed chatting with you about cats very much. Hope to be seeing you all in Rescue cat chat on Thursdays!

Hello Cat Lovers and welcome to a New Year in the Cat Community!
The cat chat hosts and myself want to wish one and all
a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year
We'd like to thank you for your continued participation in the
cat community on AOL.
We'd like to see a lot more of you getting involved in our community.
Please remember you are more than welcome to send comments,
rants, questions, poetry, news items, web sites, stories,
pictures and graphics pertaining to anything feline to the news letter.
I'd love to hear from you and be able to add such
thing's to our monthly news letter.
We are looking forward to once again holding a Cat photo contest
for the community. Look for news of it coming in the next few months.

Cat Tales for August 2007
Mews and Views
August has roared in like it's on fire. Record breaking temperatures are blanketing much of the East, South and Midwest. Cats need extra care just as humans do during extreme periods of heat. Make very sure your cats has a large bowl of fresh water every day. You can also freeze plastic milk jugs of water and put them on the floor for your cats to lay against. Sort of mini kitty air conditioning, LOL Please if you have out door cats or stay's that your feeding make sure they have a supply of fresh water which they can get to anytime. It's a good idea to place it in the shade if you have any.
We also want to know what you think about our cat community and any ideas or comments you may have about chats or ideas on what we can do to keep interest in the community going & growing.
