Bar food

Well, yesterday went surprisingly well. We did Tuesday on Monday so that I could drive my crazy friend to her therapist today and it worked out just fine. Although technically, it was my day to chooss, I let hubby choose lunch since I had picked on Saturday which was, technically, his day.

We drove into town a little bit early. I took the Jeep by the mechanic to get it some new headlights. He took the trash to the dump and we met and then took Cookie to day care.

His choice for lunch was excellent. There is a college bar down by the university called "The Salty Nut"/ It is one of those places where you can throw peanut shells on the floor and order greasy, calorie and fat laden food which is always delicious.
I had a chicken salad club sandwich, which sounds innocent enough but it was loaded down with bacon and cheese..of course, that was what made it taste so good! And the onion rings were yummy too. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunches. (He always has a plain hamburger and fries or onion rings.)

We went by the range and had a good time shooting. I am actually working on AIMING which I know is a radical concept but it seems to be working! I may go and shoot a little today. Since I will have an hour to kill and I won't be far from the range........

On the way home, we stopped and looked at life vests for Cookie and I bought a $2 t-shirt at the Goodwill store. We collected Cookie from day car, stopped and got a fresh bale of straw for Persimmon and the got my Jeep back from the mechanic. He put HALOGEN headlights in it so I should be able to see where I am going at night now!

I made a little bit of spahgetti for dinner but I didn't have any. I had an egg sandwich and a bowl of hot oatmeal. Tito ate two spoons of it while he was sitting with me. He LOVES oatmeal, milk nad sugar at all. He has always loved milk and the vet said it was fine for him to have so.........(he's the only parrot I have ever heard of who loves milk but hey.....)

We talked to our mechanic and found out that he owns a 40 ft. Class A RV that he totally loves. We were surprised. We had mentioned to him that we'd been looking at them and he said he wouldn't trade his for anything. He really enjoys it, in spite of the fact that it gets 8 mpg. He says once he gets to where he's going, he is home.

That's it. Yesterday, we had a very good day. Today, I am going to take my crazy friend to her therapist (I think I have been infinitely patien with her, but I am starting to get very tired of this self-destructive relationshio with loverboy thing...). I will probably go to the range and then we will have a late lunch. I wish she would find a therapist who isn't clear on the other side of town! What a pain. I don't know what good the therapist is doing anyway. She is saying the same things I've been saying for months now. My friend could just give ME the $85 and hour. Hell..I'd do it for half price.

That's it...I need to get going. I planted my little squash plants this morning and i want to go by Home Depot and but a few more. They look kinda lonely out there all by themselves. I'll get two more squash plants, two more tomato plants and  maybe a basil plant. I had basil last year and it did great.

Okay...gotta get moving.

Bye for now

'Bye bye
