Never made it....

Well, they were calling for a light freeze and possible frost warning last night but it never quite made it. It got down to 39 degrees but there was no frost or ice anywhere. Our neighbor went to an awful lot of trouble to cover all his little plants in his garden with plastic and pots. I didn't do anything to mine. They were on their own and I think they are perfectly fine. I did bring in the house plants but they probably would have been okay too. It is definitely chilly but far from freezing.

Yesterday was okay. We had lunch at Pizza Hut and it was delicious, about a million times better that CiCi's Pizza. We were stuffed. They gave me a very nice salad, the pizza was hot and delicious. The only thing I didn't like was their "dessert" pizza. But everything else was great and very reasonably priced.

We got to the range and they shipped my .22 Magnum back to Smith & Wesson for me. I hope they can figure out what is wrong with it because I love the gun, it just isn't quite 100% right. I picked up a really nice leather Galco inside the waistband holster for my J-frames that I REALLY like. So many of my pants pockets are just a little too small to carry a gun comfortably and the inside the waistband holster makes a great (and comfortable) alternative.

That was it, We came straight back after the range even though it was early. We picked Cookie up from Day Care and came on home. I made spaghetti for dinner. I was so stuffed after our Pizza Hut adventure that I didn't think I would want any dinner but I have half a cup of spaghetti and half a cup of sauce and it was fine.

At a little before 8:00, I got dressed again and ran over to the emergency vet hospital. I wanted to tell the vet that Blanche was back to normal and seemed to be dong fine after her Near Death Experience this weekend. He seemed pleased that I came back to tell him she was okay. I gave him a nice card (from Blanche) and those nice new towels for the clinic. The tech told me they are always running out of towels so that seemed better than candy or cookies or donuts or flowers. It's something they can actually use.

And speaking of something that can actually be used, I need to buy myself a flashlight that I can carry. I like my Surefire for inside the house but I need one of those compact Inova lights like my husband has for my purse or backpack. Even though I rarely go out at night, last night when I went to the vet's office was the one time I could have used one. A woman at the SpeedyMart where I stopped asked me to jumpstart her car. It was no problem and only took a couple of minutes but a flashlight would have been useful. I can get one at Target or at the PX for about $20.

That's it. Blanche and Cookie have both been outside already and Blanche was in the kitchen, barking and demanding to be fed,so she is doing her usual stuff. I have already fed the Kitty Cats and in a few minutes, I will get Persimmon taken care of. I suppose later today. I will take Cookie to the park for a little walk. Hubby won't be leaving until after lunch.

When I get home, I want to clean some stuff out of my closet and bathroom and drop a bunch of stuff off at the old Goodwill store on Decker Blvd.

That's it...gotta finish my oatmeal and then get going.

Bye for now.

Bye bye

Happy to hear Blanche is fine - thank goodness for that!  I really like Pizza Hut pizza - to me it is the best!
