Hate to see other journalers leaving AOL, but..............

I said it on my other journal, and I'm saying it here!
Have noticed some of our fellow journalers abandoning the "AOL journal ship", after AOL's callous addition of ad banners to our journals. I sure hate to see it, but can't blame them one bit. I hate the ad banners, especially when they clash and/or distract from our journal photos, entries, etc.
I, like many others, am now creating a new photo journal on another website. It has no ad banners, gives a good (not great) set of templates to use, is easy to set up and use, upload photos, etc. Mine is still in the "infant stage" but, it'll get better as I learn. Here is link to my blogspot photo journal: http://hsent.blogspot.com/
Hope you'll come visit--Happy Journaling!

Oops! See I missed another journal anniversary!
Has been ages since I have even visited my journal, let alone update. Guess I missed another journal anniversary. Oh well. Hope all had a wonderful holiday season, and a happy, healthy, safe New Year!

Feeling Ecstatic
I'm a new Grandma!
Yes, I'm still alive! Know it's been months; that's another story.
Just wanted to announce the arrival of our first grandchild, our beautiful little Sophia Rene! She was born yesterday morning at 12:01 am and weighed 7 lbs., 11 ozs. and is 20 inches long. She's a cutie! She's already stolen the hearts of mommy and daddy, and of course all the grandparents!

Guarding the ball

Couldn't resist this shot. Lacey looked so cute with her legs wrapped around the pillow and guarding her ball. She loves playing with it, also with her rope "chew". We play with both of them every day. I was surprised that she actually let me take a couple of pictures before she got up and ran off. She just doesn't like cameras or having her picture taken. Funny dog! Gotta' love her!

Happy Easter!!!
Our little "bunny dog"

As you can tell by the photo, our dog doesn't like having her picture taken, especially with these silly bunny ears. They were too cute, couldn't resist!
Happy Easter!!!!

First day of Spring!

The picture above, a familiar sight, this is what our first day of Spring looked like. Ended up with a total of 2", but most has already melted off and the sun has been peeking through the clouds now and then. Yesterday, I ventured out into our backyard looking for signs of spring, and found more than I expected! Everything, except the grass, and WEEDS, still looks so gray and dormant. Was pleasantly surprised to see how many plants are coming up already. One small rosebush is even nice and green, but the rest are all still brown and bare. WELCOME SPRING!
Photo below: My very first tulip for the season--yeah!

Photo above & below: lilacs are coming out-new growth against last years old growth. Hope we get a bumper crop this year--Love the scent!

Photo below was taken yesterday, shortly after a light drizzle. Caught the new bud on our birch tree, encapsulated in a rain drop. Like this one a lot.

Below: This is my favorite shot from yesterday! While trying to capture the rain drops on the tree, I noticed how much the twig in this photo resembles a dog. Really! You can see his snout and nose, looks like a tongue hanging out, his head, eyes and ears, his body and legs. With the water drop around the part that looks like a leg, almost looks as if the dog is emerging from birth. Pretty wierd, and fascinating! Love it!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!!
Here's a little mini tour of So. Ireland, went there in 2000 with my son Kevin. We landed in Dublin, and drove along the seashore for as much as possible, with a final destination of Cork City, where we stayed for several days and did numerous "day trips" to surrounding towns and counties. Wonderful place to visit!

Top: View of some of the beautiful Irish countryside.
Bottom: Ancient seaside cemetery

Photo below: Blarney Castle-yes, my son and I both "kissed the Blarney Stone", to which he reminded me afterwards of how many millions of germs were there! Yuuuuck!

Above photo: beautiful Irish rainbow!
Below photo: Queenstown (Cobh) Museum

Queenstown, also known as Cobh, was the last port of call for the Titanic before sailing out to open sea--and history! This is also where many of the Irish immigrants set sail from for America.
HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
