Execution in Revolution Square During the French Revolution, 18th Century Giclee Print by French School

http://www.napoleonguide.com/guillotine_louis.htm

RUSTY REMEMBERANCE OF THE FRENCH REVOLUTION FOUND UNEARTHED IN FIELD OUTSIDE OF PARIS..

According to an article in the Paris Match, an aged farmer and his great, great grand son were tilling an old field near Masonet, a small village east of Paris, when their implements struck metal. "We we...have struck something metal," stated the aged farmer, inhaling a Camel, one of the last ones he had saved since the Yanks had liberated Paris from the dreadful Nazis. The grandson demonstrated his intelligence by the use of a crow bar and a steel chain.

Local authorities stated that this find, a guoilletine manufactured in the early 1700s, was one of about a half-dozen that have been unearthed in the area in the last one-hundred years. So far, there has been no decision about how to dispose of the large execution instrument. One place the old guoillitine is not going is to a park. The last two that were unearthed were placed in public parks and caused a flurry of injuries. Fortunately, no fatalities wererecorded.

OK, I'm Rob Hoyle, the guy that took the top photo. Couple of points, one, it's by an article about guillotines and is actually a stone cutter, and two, it's near a working stone quarry in Fagley, on the outskirts of Bradford in Yorkshire, England, which, by the way is nowhere near Paris, France. Apart from that, everythings fine lol
