500   Yes, you read that right:  500

You can find plenty of swaps over at Swap-Bot.  One of my 5 sisters loves Swap-Bot.  We won't name names.  Well, late at night is her and my weak time for hitting the "send", "buy", "bid" or "swap" buttons online!  Somehow, not sure if it was her idea or mine, we signed up for a brown paper bag scrapbook swap!  I figured it couldn't be that hard, as I had made one, although on that one I used lunch bag sized brown bags.  The required size for the swap is 6"X6".  Which I didn't have.  How hard could it be to get one?

I asked for "3 extra brown bags" at the grocery store, but later when working with them I realized they were actually too big, (the size they put ice cream in, you know)!  So I checked out our local grocery outlet...and in a weak moment I purchased a package of them.  A large package of them.  A package meant to be sold to a store.  Not meant to be sold to me... (It does make me feel better to know I paid less than 3¢ a bag...)

How many are in a package?   You guessed it:  500.  That would make 166 3-page scrapbooks.  I cannot do this!  But I'd love to share!

Here's where you, my dear readers, get lucky!  All you have to do is leave a comment here and I will mail you a 3-bag/6-page/12-sides blank scrapbook, all ready for you to start right in!  This offer is going to be long standing...no expiration date!  Anytime!  Be sure to email me your mailing address (my email is hwoodred@aol.com)   It will be sewn up the center, includes 3 bags, turned back and forward to space the "pockets" and 3 holes punched.  (Or 4.  Or 5.  Or none. Just let me know if you want more or less than 3 holes punched!)  Out of the kindness of my generous spirit and guilty feeling for owning 500 brown bags, I will mail it to you for free!  Just ask!  Oh, the size, once folded over and sewn is actually 6½"X6½".  Close enough?

If you've never made one of these scrapbooks, you're in for a TON of fun!  I really enjoy making them now.  You just glue, sew, punch, pinch, layer, cut, crop, and more!  You can do a search on eBay and find plenty of ideas for themes.  I'm just finishing up one now for a friend's birthday.  But instead of pictures I'm doing a little "memory" story on each page!  Here's some of the pages from that:

Here's a couple sites to check out if you want more information about making these brownpaper bag scrapbooks:  here, here and here.

Remember when I showed you these pages, from various scrapbooks I've made?

Okay.  There you have it.  Lets ALL make brown paper bag scrapbooks, and I'll supply the blank scrapbooks!

Blessings!
