Hearts and All Stars
Heart shaped felt brooches, for your favorite Valentine (which might be yourself)! I love wearing brooches on my denim jacket, they show up so nicely. For each season or holiday it's fun to wear a brooch, so here's your chance to wear one of my hearts. I was inspired to make these after looking through an old issue of Mary Engelbrei "Home Companion" magazine (March 1998). These are available in my Etsy store if you're interested!

Today I got to spend some time with our grandson, John Mark, who will be 2 in March. He came wearing these All Star Converse shoes, roaring to go! And go he did, on the way to the car he ran off and turned on the hose, soaking himself...in the rain!
My other treat today was spending a little time with baby Ellie Grace. She's 8 weeks old now, I can't believe how big she's grown in 2 months! Her cute outfit is from one of her her great aunts, from Hanna Anderson. It's adorable on her!
I posted pictures of my paper sewn Valentine's last week, and believe it or not, I'm still making them! I stick them in my notes and letters I mail out, just a little something in my personal letters. Ann asked if I was going to put them on a tree, which is a great way to keep this little white tree up. So thanks for the idea, Ann!
