Little Birdies Flew In

Two little birdies flew in yesterday...

My "Sweet Little Nest Swap" package arrived from Kristin.  Wow, I was blown away with how beautiful this nest is!  Kristin made a little nest in a vintage bird cage, and she used my two favorite colors, vintage green and pink!  It was a little birdies' love shack:

I love the Bible verse she altered the cage with, "Two are better than one", from Ecclesiastes 4:9. The complete verse is "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work; If one falls down, his friend can help him up.  But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also if two lie down together, they will keep warm.  But how can one keep warm alone?  Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.  A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

I enjoyed getting to know Kristin through this swap!  She knew I love papers, vintage trims, pics and stuff like that, so she included a "fun for you" kit in my package!

The tag she hung on the cage is perfect, "No Vacancy":

This was a wonderful swap, I love my Sweet Little Nest!  Thank you, Kristin!

I wanted to take a minute and direct you to a couple new bloggers.  First is Sarah of Vintage Lily.  The second is Kate of Kate'sCorner, who does beautiful stained glass art!  If you have a second, go say "hi" to these gals!

Two awards were recently sent my way!  The first is "The Angelic Art Award" from Natalea of Kandeland.  Natalea is full of fun and energy, I love visiting her blog!

The second is from Genevieve, of Bella-Enchanted, who is one of the busiest moms around.  She awarded me with the "You Make My Day" award.  Thank you both for these awards!

Did you know March is National Craft Month?  I had to laugh at that, because every day  is National Craft Day here at Sweet Woodruff Acres!  I saw a beautiful photograph on Heidis blog, Birds of a Feather, in which she said we could "use"...so her it is:

If you want more info go to Heidi's blog and read this post, "march is national crafts month".

For my birthday Jessica gave me a trio of beautiful glass containers!  Now if you've read my blog in the past, you know she works part-time in a huge CRAFT store!  (*lucky me*)  She bought this set of containers, which were from the stores' Christmas display so I got them pre-filled with all the Christmas goodies!  Here's a picture of them:

They are sitting on our new granite shelf in our stairway.  (Please excuse the wall paint, as we haven't painted yet!)  So, I'm refilling these containers now for spring.  Here are the first two I filled:

Okay, this post is long enough.  The sun is out and I have work to get to...

Blessings!

*Heidi*

    Hi Heidi,
I LOVE the birdie.  So sweet.  Your jars are looking fabulous for spring.  The granite shelf is a great feature.
