Never a short post here...
Saturday we worked until about noon over at the church, it was the all church spring cleaning. Mark was up on the ladder cleaning the windows in the gym as I was down below cleaning and getting ready for us to mop the gym floor. After we completed that job we went outside and cleaned one large back wall of the church (cedar siding). Then we planned to come back home and cut and split firewood...
Instead...we went to our small town "flea market" (in the community building!) where I found an almost-brand-new travel bed/playpen (not sure what they're called now). It's in great condition. When my litttle granddaughter, Ellie Grace, is here we have no place to put her when she naps. This will be perfect.
Then we walked over to a little craft building and found a local crafter selling her lovely handmade goats milk soap! Here's the bars I bought, don't you love the fleur design?

I asked her (Marlene) if she had any with a crown design, but she didn't. I'll try to talk her into adding a crown design for us! Her soaps are large and very fragrant, I bought four different scents. She also offers the unsented variety for those who don't like a strong scent. Now, here's the lucky part for you: Marlene sells online! It's The Sitkum Soap Works. Go now and order a bar or two, you'll love it! This is their label, it's so cute!:

(We did come back and split firewood...I couldn't get out of that job...)
But, speaking of goats. One of our neighbors raises goats. Last year I posted a picture or two of them. Well it's kid time! You know, baby goats are called kids! They are so cute, I get to see them as I come and go on our road. They sound just like the lambs, and they play just as cute:

I think my friend and neighbor, Corey, had a photo day with her daughter and the kids as well. I'll make sure to post the link when she does, as she's our Number One local photographer! EDITED: Corey just posted on her blog her pictures of the kids here on our neighbor Johnny's farm (the barn above is a Century Farm Barn): "Just Kidding Around".
I bought this vintage green colored bird house from a "second hand collectable" store this weekend. I put it on my table with a little rabbit and my nest from Suzanne, which has pink eggs:

Mark couldn't believe I bought it, since I (or he) could have easily made it. But I told him I loved that it was already made and I love the color! I have some of those old nails and one day I will make this pattern, too. But for today, it was done and ready to go! (And only $7).

I think I'm happy with my three glass containters now, all ready for Easter! After ready Sally Jean's list of things to do in March, (Celebrate March Day 29) I decided to print out some vintage looking flash cards. I made a couple sets (one which will go to my one-on-one "Heidi Swap"...shh, don't tell her). These are so much fun to make. Make yourself a set!

Blessings!

Wow, you were busy over the weekend! I love the goat pics. We raised goats for my 4-H project and I loved those little buggers. Also, each Momma has 2 kids per litter. They are so cute as they run and play on their slightly wobbly legs.

Okay - I know I always say it but you live in such a beautiful place! Maybe someday I can beg you to do a post of the area you live in? It looks so peaceful and serene.
