She ate 5 cookies today...
My "Heidi Spring Swap" package arrived yesterday from Heidi. Heidi and I did a one-on-one swap, and we named it the "Heidi Spring Swap". I was so surprised it arrived so quickly as Heidi's been very sick and I didn't think she'd even be able to send it! The box was packed with goodies! Right off the bat I knew what I'd be doing last night: Making sugar cookies.
Heidi included an adorable daisy cookie cutter in my swap. I have a huge collection of cookie cutters but I didn't have a daisy!
I iced them today and when our daughter Melissa came by to visit (always a joy to see her and our two grandchildren!) she ate FIVE of these yummy daisy sugar cookies!
Mark wouldn't even tell me how many he ate! (I posted the recipe I use for the cookies and icing here.) Melissa is so thin I don't think those five cookies are going to hurt her! Here she is with Ellie:
Oh, and news! A little birdie moved into my "blinged birdhouse"! I enjoyed using this vintage glitter glass that I found at a thrift store. I think this little birdie made a good move!"
And...a sweet little "thank you" gift was here waiting for me last week when I returned from our road trip. I had sent Lori a blank brown paper bag scrapbook and in return she so sweetlysent a darling chick towel and a sweet card she made for me.

I won something...else! I won a subscription to the Hallmark Magazine from Kristal at Bella Grace! Kristal just had a precious little baby girl, added to her family of three, now making it four! Kristal has a special place in my heart, she was one of the first people to comment on my blog way back when I started it! (I started blogging in October of 2006 and am still loving it more and more daily!) Thank you, Kristal!

Those cookies are sooo sweet to look at...they must have tasted wonderful. Terrific swap. It appears that you are quite busy these days. Since I have collections on the brain, it hadn't occurred to me, but you said it...a collection of cookie cutters. Very cool. Susan
