Oregon Coast Heat Wave

These were the signs I loaded up on Flickr Friday morning (when it was about 80 degrees):

The Oregon coast doesn't usually have heat waves, but this one we just had was a whopper of a heat wave!  On Friday afternoon when the temperature inside my office matched that outside (103 degrees) I told Mark WE HAVE TO GO TO THE BEACH!  He didn't need to be asked twice!  He put a boogie board in the jeep, which was already topless, and I grabbed a hat and a bottle of water and away we went!

Here I am, looking at the pretty lighthouse:

While Mark was in the water, (crazy guy, he didn't wear a wetsuit and the water was freezing cold!), I walked the beach:

This set of trees facinated me, they were loaded with nests:

This tree had recently fallen in a storm, it was HUGE and I even climbed it!:

Then Friday night we went back out and once again ended up at a different beach, to watch the sunset.

I took a ton of pictures, and to be honest I would have loved to show you all fifty of them!  We went back to the beach again today, another goreous day!  I think we made it through the heat wave, thanks to the local beaches, and we have nice {red-sunburn} skin to prove it!  Do you think it'll turn into a tan?

Thanks for looking at my pictures!

Blessings!

Gorgeous sunset! What a fun day at the beach. But then a bad day at the beach is better than your best day at work. :-)

It has been in the high 70's here for the last few days.  I have been loving it.  Would love it more if I was near a beach and could see a sunset like that one.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that first sign.  Did you transfer the image or glue it on.  It is lovely!

    Hi Heidi,
Oh you are so lucky to have wonderful weather.  Here is Pittsburgh it has been unseasonablly chilly and rainy.  I long for a warm, sunny day.   Your pictures are so beautiful---that sunset is breath-taking.  Thanks for sharing them with us.
    Fondly

    Hi Heidi,
That must be wonderful living so close to the beach!  Do you ever find pretty beach glass?
    Your signs are soooo  cute!
