Nursery Rhyme Tag Swap Arrived, FIRE, (and more beach pics)
EDITED 5/20/02 TO ADD THIS PHOTO OF THE TAGS:

Yippee! My Nursery Rhymes Tag Swap package arrived today from our host, Sherry Bamsy (The World Through My Eyes)! I love all the tags and want to post pictues. I may try to add them tomorrow. I posted pictures back in April of the ones I made, but will show them again now:

Here's a list of the artist who swapped:
Sherry Bamsey (who made "la queue leu leu"), Maija Lepore (who made "queen Mary, bloody Mary"), Colleen (made "the story of Yeh-Shen"), Sue McPerson (made "who has my tarts?"), Rebecca Gawryl (made "baa baa black sheep"), Carol Ryan (also made "she was very, very good"), Cheryl Stoneham (made "Mary had a little lamb"), Suzanne Brooksbank (made "and they lived happily ever after"), Kim Hesson (who made "hey diddle, diddle") and myself (who made the ones picture above!).
I love swapping tags! It's similar to ATC swapping, but with tags we have a bit more freedom in dimension. If we say "please" Sherry might just host another swap....be sure to check her blog!
Due to technical difficulties Mark didn't have to work today! So he did a bunch of projects around here, one of which was to burn a bunch of burn piles he had (branches from trees we've cut down). When I heard the loud crackle-crackle I grabbed my camera and ran from my office to take some FIRE pictures:
He burned three piles like this. The other two were in our back pasture. When Mark finished he said, "time to go surfing!". Okay, I confess, I went with him. Hey, it WAS the end of MY work day! I sat on the beach and watched Mark in
EDITED 5/20 oh brother...i was trying to add something and deleted the previous paragraph. sorry! I think I was talking about sitting on the beach watching Mark in the water and bird watching. I wanted to mention that after doing research on the birds nesting in the trees I'm pretty sure they are the "Double-crested Cormorants". Very fun to identify birds with my new book (a Mother's Day gift), "Birds of Oregon".
Then I decided I needed to do something artsy and here's the "shorebird" I came up with:

When we were at the beach the other day I wrote my name in the sand. And that day I also wrote "Everyday Cookies" in the sand. When I got home that day and showed my pictures to Miss College Girl, Jessica, she (her 3 years of college was showing) was quick to point out that I had spelled "Everyday" without the "y". It said, "EverDay Cookies". So, today I made sure to spell it correctly:

Blessings!

Heidi, The tags are fabulous..that must have been a fun swap. In New Jersey, we are not allowed to burn our brush, or anything else for that matter. I can remember when my father in law would burn everything up in Vermont, but they can now be ticketed for that too. Your beach looks very inviting...ours is still very, very cold. Susan

Ha ha--my college gal is the same way. She "let me have it" recently for a glaring typo on my website.
The tags from the swap are all so wonderful and creative--your girl with the curl is too fun!!
I always enjoy my stops by here. -
