T.O. Must G.O.

T.O. Must G.O.

Owens may be smiling, but he won't be doing it in the City of Brotherly Love any longer.

Many of you may have heard the resounding thud as I hopped off the T.O. bandwagon after he decided to sport a Michael Irvin throwback jersey following a loss to Dallas. In my mind, he wasn't worth it. He wasn't worth the trouble, the aggravation or the distraction to the team. If I thought that then, I'm now lobbying to have some drunken South Philly thug take out his knees.

Andy Reid and the rest of the Eagles organization have had enough. After suspending him for four games for conduct detrimental to the team (i.e. challenging an entire locker room of large, athletic men to a fight), the Eagles have announced that there is no room on the roster for a loud-mouthed POS like Terrell Owens.

There are two questions on everyone's mind: 1) Can the Eagles win without T.O.? and 2) Will any team in the NFL gamble on this one-man wrecking ball we call a wide receiver? I will attempt to answer both.

Can the Eagles win without T.O.? Yes. They have and they will. I'm more concerned about Donovan's injuries than I am about the loss of Owens. We made it to the NFC Championship game several years in a row with a weak receiving corps. T.O. had a broken ankle in the first two games of the playoffs last year and didn't play. Andy Reid is quite used to coaching his way through adversity. Without the constant distraction of a guy like T.O. in the locker room, things should smooth out in Philly.

Will anyone pick this guy up? Unfortunately for whoever it is, yes. It will probably be a mediocre team lured in by the promise of a game-breaking wide receiver. No solid organization in their right mind would let the cancer that is Terrell Owens step a foot near their locker room. Too bad for the Raiders they already scooped up Moss. They could have self-imploded more quickly by signing Owens.

All I have to say is I'm sick of T.O. dominating SportsCenter. I'd rather be around naked sumo wrestlers after a large meal of pork and beans than hear about this guy for one more day. He's gone, move on. I know the Eagles will.

Sheesh Erin, when will this all go away! I peddle my falafels all day, listen to a little Cowherd in the early morn when I prep, then Rome (thats reedickuulous!), then Patrick, with some tunes mixed in to break the monotony. Its all TO, TO, TO! Oh and also a heavy dose of "I'm Lovin' It". I can recite all McDonald's radio ads word for word. Lawdy what a skill to have. But off of TO and I have one question to ask. Where be the Skins/Eagles post game blog gurl!? Oh the agony of it all, huh? No big, just tauntin' ya, throw the flag. At least (I think) you have a game this coming weekend, I'm freakin' lost on Sunday w/out my Bolts jolt. I'll figure out something to do, hmmmm lets see. I'll make a macaroni necklace and eat some paste. Have a good one.
