The buzz on the streets of Sheepshead Bay, Coney Island and the Lower East Side is New York's 6th Annual Russian Film Week! And having passed its 5th Jubilee last year with flying colors, Russian Film Week is back in town October 13-19. Like Dat couldn't miss a day! Its powerful blend of raw, naked emotional realism, and Eastern Block human complexity has earned a niche in the fabric of NYC's rich cultural tapestry, and her man, Aleksei Panin, Chief Executive of this years showcase, couldn't miss the chance to give this VH1, Flavor of Love Season 2 favorite, the opportunity to see how they do it in his home country! It's when Tarantino meets Eisenstein, so you'd better open your eyes, you're in for a new brand of storytelling that'll keep you in your seats!
Russian cinematography has made several quantum leaps over the past decade, without losing its genuine originality of cast and character. Like Dat, I love and appreciate you. But darling, I don't think anyone comes to this forum to read about the Russian Film Festival or whatever it is. They are basically concerned with the show and events surrounding it. Maybe I should rephrase that. "I" am mostly concerned with the show and people of the show. We like to hear of your exploits, but a voice message is better for that. Be sweet and stay beautiful. Peace
