Oooh child thing are going to get easier, oooh child things are going to get brighter - 2 Pac
As we are driving from Mobile, Alabama to Houston, all I could think about is the devistation caused by Hurricane Katrina. The heartache and pain of those who lost everything. I pray for their relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction. It could be me or my family. Tomorrow is not promised.
Because we are getting out of Mobile, Alabama so late. We hv to go right from the bus to our 1st radio station at 7am. My good friend Mad Hatter is the morning show host of 97.9 The Box KKBX. The interview was so amazing. Callers called and encourage me to keep it up. This one caller said Mr. Liles you have inspired me to break my families chain. I asked her what did she mean. She said my parents couldn't read or write and neither can I. But through hearing me on the radio, she wanted to read my book and spread my message. I encouraged her to take control of her life now and Make It Happen. Although I am a very positive person, to hear that someone still can't read or write hurts.
Next stop lunch with Ricky Anderson, Yolanda Adams lawyer and a TV interview for ABC 13 at noon.
Nxt up is the Party station KPTY 104.9. The host of the afternoon show is my good friend Mean Green, a houston living legend. We could stay on the air forever. I'm glad I always followed Rule #6, Get Connected, you never who you are meeting and where you will cross paths again. Houston has always been good to me. From J Prince, Rap-A-lot, Scarface, Mean Green, G Dash, Mike Watts, Swisha House, T Draper, Suave House, Mike Jones, Paul Wall Matthew and Tina Knowles, Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle, Yolanda Adams etc...
I love my Houston family. They have a very special place in my heart. Nxt stop the event @ T.S.U. I am truly excited to play another HBCU. Talk to you after the show
