Good Morning Mr. Liles and the rest of the MIH Team. Let's get it.
What is the criteria a start-up label must have in order for Asylum to give them an incubator deal? I know hot music with a strong buzz is a must. But what other factors are scrutinized?
Also, with the recent maintream explosion of the Houston Underground, is WMG now focused on labels that utilize business models that harness entire regions? Because now it seems more effective to market the collective of a region that has reached a high level of musical maturity and supplement the growth of a foundational buzz within that specific region.
This is George Houston "Mr. From the block to the Boardroom" and I am making it happen! -
HELLO, HELLO, HELLO, HELLO
Good Evening Mr. Liles,
You are an inspiration, to not just young blacks, but to all people on achieving your dreams. My name is Kevin Robinson, and like many other people producing and the business of music are my life. I have a 28 book library on different topics relating to the music business. I'm definitely a student of this industry. I also suffer from sickle cell disease. Struggle, hard work and Sacrifice have been apart of my whole life. My illness is under control now, and I’m going to be and inspiration to people with disabilities. I believe my life won't have meaning if I don't give back and help others along. I have been doing so and will continue to be an advocate for the disabled. I'm currently a student at B.M.C.C. However, i'll soon be going to go to N.Y.U. to pursue a degree in music business management and piano performance.
I've been following your career since 1998, and I’ve read your book. I'm not asking for a handout. I just want a chance to learn and prove myself. It would be my honor if you would allow me to be your intern. I was informed that you started with a man named Kevin Mithchell, I would definitely make you a proud man, to mentor a fellow "Kevin". I have learned a lot from your experiences and I would love to get the chance to work for you. This would be another step to my calling. I'm going to make it in the music business, and I would love to learn more by working for you. Learning is the only pay I need. I’m a hard worker, I put in 500%, 365 days a year, 24/7 I do anything to get the job done. If I can’t intern for you, please forward me to a place where I can learn as much as I would learn working for you.
As I said before learning is the only pay I need.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. My e-mail address is bloodpressure01@aol.com -
