Is it true that Def Jam is looking to sign the upcomming Hip Hop Artist "Tango"?
I checked out some of his audio clips, and I think he is very poetic like Tupac but with a Jay-Z type flava. Here is "Tango's'' Homepage address below:

Greetings and Congratulations, Mr. Liles on your exemplary presence in the Entertainment Industry!  I want to start by saying that I wholeheartedly agree with the virtue of being 'humble and giving'!

I   have many people, in my life, that I have given of myself, material possessions, even huge sums of $$.

However, I have not 'regret', any moment of it, even though I am somewhat 'financially impoverished'!  I know that my current and future blessings are bigger than I could ever imagine!

Again, thanx for this opportunity to correspond!.

    Kelvin,

It's amazing listening to your comments. I clicked on Black Voices and was very impressed with the sources of available information including direct access to you.
You are an icon in the record industry and it's great to see a record executives give real advice to recording artist and music enthusiasts.

Here is my question. I manage my 18 years old daughter who is an R&B singer. She does not have a record deal yet but she has recorded some good songs.

One of her songs I am told by several radio personalities and record industry folk that it is a great record and could go to radio now. I have been told to go and try to make a radio buzz.

I would like to know if major labels do single deals anymore and if they develop talent that A&R believes in anymore? Also may I email my artist song and bio to you
    .
She is being featured on November 15, 2005 on UPN, Atlanta after the Vibe Awards in special entertainment show featuring Michael Malden, Ying Yang Twins and other Atlanta Artist.

I would love to hear any comments you may have. I am a producer-director specializing in music videos an documentaries.

I love your blog and the wisdom you share. Hope to here from you off line at cathydurant2@aol.com. Take Care.

    Sincerely,

    Cathy Irby Durant

Hello Mr.Liles , I am a young beautiful sista, trying to make it happen.   I have been singing since I was a child and the love has never left me. This is my second message that I have  posted, and I appreciate the reply. However I know that if you know the right people all things are possible . I would love it , if IO could be on a track with  Germaine Dupri. I think he is such a talented artist, and he's goes  above and beyound for his following artist . Wanting nothing but the best for them. He has a down to earth attitude and does not let money change him, and for that that's why I would love to share  my talent with him. I know that you are a very busy person, and can only answer so many request , But I want you to know that I Admire and Respect what you are doing for other.

    May God Bless You .
