Here is the original email I sent:
Hello Mr. Liles,
I am a mother of four boys and to tell you the truth, I usually so not openly talk about my family with anyone else. I am going to tell you about how I came back to my faith and after listening to some of your blogs decided to share my story.
Three years ago I had my son who was born with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy due to hospital negligence.  During my delivery by C-section my son experienced distress because he went into my birth canal which was to small for him to pass through. He was born dead and for the first ten minutes of his life he had no sign of life, God brought him back to us and on the eleventh minute he took his first gasp of air. He suffered asphyxia to his brain and now is severely mentally retarded as well as has CP and Epilepsy. I believe that during my C- section God spoke to me and told me that he was here for me and would not let either of us go before we made some difference in anyone's lives we could even if it is just getting our story out and the details of this extraordinary event that happened to make my life change. I recall being under so much anesthesia that I could not hear anyone, but I could see them moving around me. At this moment the room got dark and a bright light came over me and from that day on I have always felt like God was and is with me at all times.  I was struggling with myself over believing in God.  This was a struggle within myself and when my son was born I knew that God exists.
I want to thank you for the knowledge that you are spreading and hope that my family can do the same and be inspirations also for us as black folk to think greater and better of ourselves. The black family needs to be strong through all things brought and put in our way. Believing in God and that he as well as by "Boyz" are always protecting and teaching me. God Bless.
