Mr Liles,
Congrats on the book! I haven't read it but I plan to buy it. I've heard a few excerpts and to me the most important thing you said is to "DO YOU". A lot of people out here get caught up with what other people are thinking or doing. That'll get you nowhere! I actually have sent some music (beats) up to your office before back in Feb. I spoke with your assistant, Ms McGriff. You met my mother at Saks 5th Ave @ the Short Hills Mall in NJ. That's how I got your contact info. I don't know know if you listened to my CD or not but I want to let you know that the rejection added fuel to my fire. Forcing me to step my game up. I would like the oppurtunity to send you some more (new)music. If I can't then regardless I respect what you do and how you got to where you are. One day I will see you at the top!

Hey Mr Liles! You're an inspiration! I think the show (BIZ) is hot! Some of the contestants are morons but Jimmy Xross is dope! It's tight to see black people succeed in areas thought only to be "white only" as you yourself have done! Keep it hot! God Bless!

Good Evening Mr. Liles,
My name is Kevin Robinson, you read my e-mail the other day on your blog. I'm the gentleman with sickle cell anemia. However, I've been following your career since 1998, and I’ve read your book. I've learned a lot from your book, and i'm willing to make it happen for myself. I'm not asking for a handout. I just want a chance to learn and prove myself. It would be my honor if you would allow me to be your intern. I learned you got your start with a man named Kevin Mitchell, I would definitely make you a proud man, to mentor a fellow "Kevin". I have learned a lot from your experiences and I would love to get the chance to work for you. This would be another step to my calling. I'm going to make it in the music business, and I would love to learn more by working for you. Learning is the only pay I need. I’m a hard worker, I put in 500%, 365 days a year, 24/7 I do anything to get the job done. If I can’t intern for you, please forward me to a place where I can learn as much as I would learn working for you.
As I said before learning is the only pay I need. -
Good Morning Mr LIles!
My name is George Houston. I am a 26 year old black male about the same age as Hip Hop and BET.. I really believe that the hip hop generation is reaching a collective self actualization. I grew up with no money and have truly risen from the block to the boardroom. Just like all my peers I have been exposed to every image that is marketed to us. I luv all my gangsta rappers but those images are funded by the financial powers that have oppressed us for over 400 years. However, just like the old negro spirituals that lead our ancestors to freedom, Gangsta rap is the trojan Horse that has given us the blueprint for economic and financial empowerment. ...Jay-Z's first album Reasonable Doubt began to bridge the gap between the drug game and the rap game. He made a whole generation of young brothers understand that effective business whether legal or illegal all follow the same principles to success. Matter of fact, when I listened to that album that was the first time i heard terms like "fiscal" and "dividend".
Music is a powerful medium. The messages in a song can be heard everyday all day. When someone said the revolution will not be televised they were right because it is going to be written. Your book "Make It Happen" is the next level. We need to continue to market this next level. I would love for you to be on the cover of my magazine, The League....The playbook for the hip hop generation of movers and shakers. I want to bring the light to the minds behind the movement and you are the foundation of this movement. Your rise from intern to president is the story that needs to be told over and over again, on all mediums.
I wish you must success. This is George Houston "Mr turning contacts into contracts one boardroom at a time"..."Mr from the block to the boardroom" and I am making it happen.

I would like to get him into commercials and let the world know about my miracle and ordeal that I went through the day I delivered. I feel that my story may help others as well as the parents of children with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. The details of his delivery in full would be inspirational to all to know because he is only 3 and he has the moost warmest and bravest spirits I know. Again I celebrate my son Na'Sion (pronounced Nation) Seven Williams.
