On a trip through BOSSIER CITY, LA. a few days ago I discovered that slave/black codes are alive and well in the ARK-LA-TEX.  BOSSIER CITY recently passed an ordinance prohibiting black people form wearing HIP-HOP clothing on the boardwalk, a project built with public funds.  If you are black you can purchase hats and trousers but you cannot wear they in the traditional hip-hop way while visiting the board walk.  In talking to one anglo at the board walk, he informed me that the clothing and head dress worn by the BLACKS was offensive to the senses of our good WHITE FOLK and we will not stand for it.  He assured me that they (White folk of Bossier City and Shreveport) did not mind if the Black people visited the board walk, but they will have to dress like NORMAL people.  There is no prohibition of the attire work by good white folk.
