I am a Cape Verdean woman from a small city called New Bedford, Ma. There, opportunity for being noticed as a singer, dancer or an artist period is very slim as the city is not known for talent at all. Cape Verdean people are also not known in too many places around our country. We are based in New England but most of us are very talented. How can I make a name for my people and get us put on the map?
I have a 12 year old son who can sing and dance and if I couldn't make it, how can he? Talent scouts want money and say he's too young to dance... As talented as my son is, he just needs the opportunity to show his skills and I can guarantee that anyone will be impressed with him. Please let me know the steps I can take. I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
