Show me the money

Nigel Andrews of FT wrote that the "have-nots" like watching the "haves".  It’s true.  Here is what Michael Lewis said about being an American writer, that "The stories we tell about life in America have a universal appeal that stories from no other place have. There is a market for it. This may be superficial, but it's true. An American writer can write about something American and feel as if there isn't anywhere on earth where people won't be interested--even if there are actually plenty of places on earth that aren't interested. It is a level of confidence that no other nationality has at the moment." (The New New Journalism, by Robert S. Boynton)".  I think Andrews’ theroy applies here.  Even the majority of Americans live modestly.
