The National Council On Islamic Scouting is made up from a group of African American Muslims who serve as scout leaders in the Muslim Community. The council is associated The council's religious office is located in Maryland Scouting Units

National Islamic Units *

*Islamic Sea Scouts SSS. "Dhuha" - 671 Council Flagship Unit

*Boy Scout Troops - 007 - 1517 - New York - Washington, DC

Medical Scout Post - Aviation Unit - Law & Government

Law Enforcement - Music Unit - Fire & Rescue Services

Religious Award Program 3 levels

The council has meetings with national, regional, local scout executive on issue concerning scouting and the Islamic Community. The council also meets with international members of the scouting community.

We are also please to inform the community that three (3) youth members of the Islamic Sea Scout have been awared the "Quartermaster's Medal" which is the highest honor in the sea scout program. They are the first African American Muslims to earn this medal.
