Masjid (Mosque) William Salaam is located in Norfolk, Virginia, in the Park Place section of the city. Masjid William Salaam serves as the religious office for the National Council On Islamic Scouting & the Islamic Sea Scouts Ship - 671.

Masjid William Salaam is situated in the Muslim Business District of Norfolk,Virginia. The masjid takes part in community events and works to make the Park Place area safe and clean.The membership of the masjid comes from a wide range in the work force. doctors, social workers, teachers, communications, medical field, photography, builders business owners and community service.

Imam Fareed sits on a number of city and community boards and takes parts along with the community and scouts in interfaith events. The masjid, scout and the council are the recipients of many local, state and national awards
