Okay, I got on here and look down at my wireless dumaflochie and it is BLUE, which says you are no longer connected to the internet. I will work off line for awhile.
Shirl and Sherry (the two S’s) worked outside at the apartment today. I went material shopping. All I got done was picking up and unloading material, fixing the attic exhaust fan and installing a new door lock. Time to start locking up. I am very lazy when it comes to loading and unloading tools, so I leave them on the job site. I have been very fortunate in all the years I was in construction I lost very little to thieves.
Since I can no longer hand drywall, this whole project inside will be a light color paneling, even the ceiling. Our son said he could get his drywall man to hand the ceiling but we turned him down. Gonna do this ourselves. Sherry and I were going to do it and now Shirl has joined the job force, so I feel very comfortable with our ability to complete the task. This is fun however, today I am truly BEAT. I tried hanging the first sheet of panel overhead and could not do it alone, so tomorrow while Shirl is outside finishing her landscape work Sherry will help me get the bathroom ceiling in. We have a few pieces of old dark paneling, I am going to use that in the bathroom and paint it, to save a little bit.
Sherry and I had the greatest compliment the other night. Joshua took a few minutes to stop by to talk. He and Brit have been going together for 4 years now. Eventually marriage is in the plans. He asked us about when we got married. Since neither of us had any money to spend on a big wedding we drove to York, South Carolina and stood before a Justice of the Peace (E. Gettys Nunn), and with some friends and family with us we became ONE. We came back the 20 miles to Belmont where My Mom had a cake for us, we made some pictures, then headed off for a one night honeymoon. Before I had to go back to the base.
My dad would have performed the ceremony but NC is more involved than SC. Anyway what Josh said was, “We want a marriage like you guys have, you always seem so happy and still in love.”
No one could have said anything nicer. Thanks Josh! We truly hope your marriage is as good as ours.

AWW, Jack, to me that is one of the greatest compliments you could get. They will be so much better off than spending a bunch of money on a huge wedding. Sounds like you are making good progress on the , lets call it an apartment. Be careful and do not overdo, Jack. Don't know if you know it but you TRULY are ageing. Lol Lucy

Hey Jack! Aw that was nice of Joshua to say, and he is very smart for noticing. A big fancy wedding does not guarantee a happy outcome. I have had two in front of the justce of peace and they werent very peaceful lol. I just didnt pick the right person to marry. but thats o.k God is good and He is faithful thats all i need lol

Joshua and Brittany make a very nice looking couple; that was a sweet compliment he gave you; honestly I think simple weddings are the best; too much time/money goes into one day, seems like more time should go into planning what happens after that one day to make marriages last longer; I'm wishing them well
your project sounds like it is proceeding on as planned; do give yourself a day off here and there to catch up on your energy; I find myself having to do that more and more as I gracefully age
