Feeling Happy

I WAS WRONG/ but Not this time!

Above is the USS Vermilion AKA107. The first Ship I was ever on.  I hooked this picture off Old Woody's Boomer Page,  (I didn't steal it, he said I could)

Now for today's exciting entry....................

Do you find it hard to apologize? We all do things we are not proud of, and sometimes it hurts other folks. There comes a time in your life when you need to make things better,  if you can. I was very touched, impressed (or condemned) once during a sermon by the Great Max Wayne Carter. The title of the sermon was “You cannot be right with God and wrong with man.”

I was reminded of a couple times in my life where I acted very ‘un-Christian’. Very soon after I heard the sermon I started wording letters to send out to the people I had done wrong or hurt. I included the families in one case, because I knew the hurt had extended beyond one person.

Within a day or two, I received a reply from one of the letters, saying there was no problem and it was forgotten, if I needed their forgiveness I had it, or something to that affect.

Now I think the Lord has forgotten my stupidity and rewarded my honesty, I just got a short video of Elsie Mae from her Grandmother, Carol. She was one of the people to whom I needed to apologize. I have never been a person who enjoyed controversy, I like unity and peace. WE are going to Utah soon, I plan to enjoy myself and RENEW some acquaintances. I know this is probably the last time I will see that treasured part of our family, with diesel prices continuing to soar.

Oh the other letter? I never got an answer, but my conscience is completely clear on the matter.

UNRelated subject: the remodeling. We worked together today on the inside. The Two S’s painted the bathroom the color I selected, pale green. I did say that didn’t I? LOL

Sonny came over for awhile, they all helped me hang some of the overhead. We lack a few more boards and the ceiling will be done. All the insulation is completed except the floor. Son Mark said he had found a stainless sink we could have for the kitchenette.

Things are coming along very well.

I do have a slight labor problem. One of the S’s (Not the one I sleep with) wanted her pay and a new pair of pants and top.

I informed her the Boss, and Paymaster was in New York seeing some Broadway Plays then would probably go to the Bahamas. I told her the top looked like a real cheap one, anyway it AIN’T my fault if you get paint on clothes.

Free labor today??? Wow! They even expect lunch breaks and stuff.

PS:

Some more for the ladies (Contributed over protest by Evelyn)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -
Q: Why do little boys whine?
A: They are practicing to be men.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Q: What do you call a handcuffed man?
A: Trustworthy.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Q: What does it mean when a man is in your bed gasping for breath and calling your name?
A: You did not hold the pillow down long enough.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Q: Why do men whistle when they are sitting on the toilet?
A: It helps them remember which end they need to wipe.

Shirl if you visit your brother  i just want you to know that  from what you have shared about the way you were raised and how kind and wise your parents were, you deserve to treat yourself to whatever your heart desires.  My mother paid 275 dollars for a ding dang pocketbook!  I asked her if she had any money left to carry around in it after that!  lol
She is 79 and if she wants to treat herself to that I say you go girl!  i buy most of my purses at the hrifty store. This month i got one on clearance for 5 dollars at Wal mart.  But I will plunk down 25 or 30 dollars for a meal at my favorite restaurant and not bat an eyelash! So i am the last one to judge  what different people enjoy.   besides if i did not love food so much i might be able to fit a pair of nice jeans lol
kudos to you for keeping your figure !

seems like you have your hands full with the two "S's", Jack; they sure keep you hopping and I'm sure your life very interesting!

interesting thoughts about asking for forgiveness and admitting wrong; I've learned to be quick to ask for forgiveness and to admit wrong doing; usually I find myself doing that a lot some days

Hey Jack! sounds like you are still hard at work. I hope sherry gets her new outfit! lol
and shirl , please dont ruin her clothes. they cost more than my whole wardrobe i must say. They sell 150 dollar jeans? not criticizing mind you, just shocked. I myself would not have the courage to wear such precious clothes.  I bought a nice shirt at wal mart 3 dollars , pants five dollars , in yellow. have worn it twice. the first time i splilled blueberries from my pancakes down my front. the nexrt time the starbucks cup leaked coffee as i  drank. was thinking either this blouse is haunted or i need to just stick to black  clothes. everybody said oh you ruined your pretty outfit i laughed cause i knew i pnly paid 8 dollars for the whole thing. cant imagine the heartache of ruining expensive clothes  lol  june

I can see you writing that letter of apology to the S you are receiving no fringe benefits from as I speak, lol. She's one smart cookie and I foresee an impending lawsuit in your future for breach of promise, negligence, abuse, starvation, etc., by the time she gets done you won't have to worry about the cost of fuel cause you ain't gonna have nothing the drive. She may feel sorry for you and let you live in the motor home on her back 40 for a reasonable amount of rent, hahahaha. Onward Christian soldier, tread lightly my friend, lol.

I may have to put  a requisition in for a manicure  and my hair do.  Paint on my
bluejeans  $150.00-- shoes  75.00-- Hair do $50.00-- Not so cheap shirt  $45.00.
We are also working without insurance coverage.  You have never been concerned about  hurting my feelings.  If Sherry can find where Mark is working we are going to check if he has beter benefits and may change jobs.
