Feeling Happy
I missed the Memorial Service!
I know there are many folks who think War is never necessary. But if some of the people buried in Arlington had not died defending this country, We would either be under German or Japanese Rule today, and that is a Historical fact! These troops followed orders and respected our FLAG! THEY TOOK SIDES! OUR SIDE!
I know I am supposed to know these things, today is Memorial Day Sunday. There was a Memorial day Service at the Cemetery where Sherry’s Family is buried. Joe Lawing from Unity Baptist and a friend was in charge of it. Te featured Singer was Joshua, our Grand son and no one told us. The boys do not tell too much I think they feel like it is bragging. But They are on notice, they sometimes read the Log, YOU BETTER TELL THE GRAND PARENTS IS YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING CLOSE, OR EVEN WITHIN DRIVING RANGE!!!! GET THAT!!!!!
Hey, and Josh is living within 75 feet of us! Oh well I will let this one pass without cutting Josh out of the will, this time. But if you plan to inherit the $63.79 I promised, you had better straighten up!!! LOL
Also got an e-mail from Matt, the baseball player. I am burning him some videos of his plays last night, he made a great play that I missed, doggone it.
Day of rest generally, we did pick up the Air conditioner for the apartment.
The weather is great. Oh, I was worried about our Muscadine’s!! Don looked at this son’s muscadine vines and brought me a small cutting of the little buds. They are just like ours, so I guess they are going to make Muscadines. I sure hope so, that is one of my favorite fruits.

I keep hearing about a particular vet who is really pushing the limits when it comes to State Laws. I'm sure that NC has some of the sameo laws as CA regarding Elder Abuse, Slavery and just plain . . . well, let me back up and state that this person must have recently read, "Uncle Tom's Cabin" Okay, onward now. I hear from very reliable individual that this person whom I want name states that at least two mature women over the delicate age of 60-plus have been made to work long hours and haven't received any pay etc. Of course one of the ladies happen to be his wife. But, the other lady in question has no recourse. I think if she didn't agree and work she would be soon homeless. ;- ]
It also has come to light that an upcoming trip is planned and both of these ladies are going . . . I can only hope that all of this work will include a round trip ticket as I can see both of them serving beverages on the plan both ways . . .
So, if you see this particular vet remind him that it isn't nice treating mature ladies like cattle . . . oh, I do hope he is paying for first class tickets as I don't believe airlines have steerage . . . . I'll keep you posted if I hear any more news . . . -
Back again, this is for shirl I agree that Lucy and Joe need our prayers concerning their bothersome neighbors. I told Lucy days ago to tell Joe that it was not good for his health letting them get him so upset.
seems like those neighbors have gotten worse if possible since Lucy first started mentioning them.I have been praying for Joe but never crossed my mind to pray for the neighbors! lol They need some divine intervention badly dont they? lol june -

the stores here were selling and giving hot dogs away in honor of the holiday. I bought the kid's dad a hot dog since he is a veteran. Then My Deedee and i took him out to a real dinner. he was really surprised because he thought all he was getting wwas a hot dog. he also got a banana split from the diary queen. So i guess we honored our veteran . I hope other soldiers were shown some appreciation today , you are right they sure do deserve it. Thank you for your service to our country too you dear fellow! june -
Sorry about such a down comment. Just observing and saying more than I should. Glad you got an air conditioner for thre Apt. Shirl told me the truth about Sherrys eye. So I fgot the stroy finally. Lucy
