Feeling Hopeful
Fish Fry!
(think you are tired?)
Now for today's entry!!!
Mark and the sons, Matt and Luke went fishing awhile back and caught a lot of Stripers (those are fish). He sent them over and we had a fish fry at the Motor Home. We had a small crowd and the fish were delicious. I had never had Striper before, my favorite fish are: Halibut, Crappie and Flounder. (I love all shell fish but prefer Lobster (either Maine or Florida.))
I fried the fish, since we worked late Sherry dropped by a fish house and bought hushpuppies and KFC for the Slaw. Wal Mart furnished the potato Salad.
Anyway we had four of the grand children (Matt, Luke, Sherece and Joshua), Shirl, Mark and Reece’s Man, Brandon.
Now I can list Striper with the fish I really like.
Work is going well at the little apartment. Shirl donated something else, the mirror for the bathroom. She has a top we plan to try to use on the Bar.
Entries are sketchy when you expend this old energy on long days. Pictures soon….
Status report:
Presently Located in Belmont, NC
Headed for the mountains for a few weeks around the 4th of July.
Before that we will take a trip to see Elsie Mae way out in Utah. We will get to meet Elsie’s Mom, Ashley. My greatest thrill will be to see, BIG BEN, or Gentle Ben. That will be in June also.
We hope to have the Apartment finished soon.
I told Joshua not to get too used to all the space he has now, 1400 sqft up and 1400 sqft downstairs. He is moving back into about 370 sqft. Up and 370 sq. ft downstairs. Of course the downstairs isn’t too useable. LOL However it is all convenient.
Sherry and I look at it and say we could easily live here!
Of course we live in 300 sqft now, so it would be a step up in space. LOL
Thanks for coming by the LOG.

What is a BILLION??
The next time you hear a politician use the word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about whether you want the 'politicians' spending YOUR tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of its releases.
A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.
D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.

never heard of striper fish Jack. Fish just isnt as flavorfull as i remember it from growing up. We used to have it once a week and it had bones. my mom kept slices of bread available so that if you swallowed a bone you could push it on down by gulping bread. i cook talapia most of the time. we never heard of that when we were young so i thought maybe folks just started making it popular to eat. its always frozen fillets from wal mart lol i love fish and have many fish stories i could tell lol
