Pull Up A Chair

Yesterday started off great.  Looking at my email, I spied a note that said, "Editor's Weekly Pick!"  I had received a couple of emails in the past stating that I was being considered and for any of you that have been considered before, know that it is the nomination that counts.

Except, yesterday, the little message said that I had been chosen. Shortly thereafter, with my head too big to go through the kitchen doorway, I announced to my children that their mother, although not particularly gifted, had her journal chosen as a "relatively" decent piece of writing and that they should be proud.

Not three minutes later, I whacked my head on the bathroom wall. Once again, the little birds came circling around my head. 

When I regained my senses, it occured to me that I was merely one of many who take a little bit of time each day to write down the experiences of our lives. Through our words, people can begin to get a clear picture of who taps away at the keyboard and shares sometimes the most personal aspects of life.  In Journals, our lives come to the readers in full color and if the writer is particularly good, surround sound.

So, thank you to all who have left comments in the past and thank you to the new readers who have surfed the web and wiped out on my journal.  But, I'd like to especially thank those who have inspired me, encouraged me and who in general have made me think and most importantly, made me laugh.  Their journals are located in the section marked "Other Journals."

Big things a'commin' my way...just gotta make sure I don't hit them head on.

  Congrats! Number 2!! I know Ill never make it with my funny porn titles being in it, but oh well. I know Im loved by my fellow journal peeps so im ok.

  I just have to ask this (and only a gifted person or someone with gifted kids could understand) with all your mishaps are you SURE you're not gifted too?!!! :-)
