Girls RULE!
Two kindergartners came into the office the other day. Absolutely adorable pair of pig-tailed gap-toothed young-uns.
One was sobbing and holding her head and the other was babbling excitedly about her friend's grave injury. The health clerk walks over and examines the the injured girl's head and asks, "What happened?" In between hiccups and gasps of air, she gets a one word response, "Owwwwwieeeee!"
So this little exchange begins.
HC: Did you bump your head?
Excited little girl answering for her friend: No
HC: Did you get hit by the tetherball? (Number 1 in inanimate objects that kicks little kids butts in elementary school)
ELG: No! She didn't!
HC: Well, did she fall down?
ELG: No! She didn't fall down!
HC: Well, since you're answering for her, how did she hurt her head?
ELG: I hit her!
HC: Now we're getting somewhere.
ELG: I need ice too. My hand hurts from where I hit her.
So, a short time later, two little kindergartners walk out of the office, arm in arm with a bag of ice apiece.
It's not just the boys, folks. Watch out for the girls.

The little darling was awfully proud of hitting her friend . . . I wonder if they were sisters in a past life.

ahhh, but they'd even made up before they were physically healed! how sweet!

My 4-year-old daughter looked at me and said, "Willow did it." As soon as 3-month-old Willow can talk, I'm sure she'll say, "Anna did it."
