Feeling Hopeful

May Day! Does anyone remember May day baskets? Growing up we would pick wildflowers and deliver them to the neighbors knock on the door and run and hide. Growing up we lived in the mountains so our neighbors were quite a distance. I remember what fun it was.

The beginning of the week it was in the 80's HOT HOT HOT! Then last night the wind picked up and oh boy it got chilly quick. This morning we woke up to rain with sleet in it. Got to work and boy did it start to SNOW. Huge flakes it was beautiful to see. We need the moisture so bad. Not sure what the next front will bring but its chilly right now.

This year DH wants to try again to grow the big huge tomatoes. So we got 2 Big Boy tomato plants. And we also got a Lemon Boy tomato plant. We will also get a Sweet 100 these are smaller than a cherry tomato and 100% sweeter. And maybe one more tomato plant just not sure what kind yet. We also are going to get a Jalapeno, bell pepper and maybe strawberry plant.

This will be fun because we are growing everything in 5 gallon buckets. I will get pictures when we get them all planted. One year we grew tomatoes in pots put inside racing tires. The heat from the tires kept them warm at night. We are so excited to try this way of growing food.

Feeling Quiet

Its been forever Sorry.

 

Wow life is moving fast super fast right now. But no excuses. I have missed you guys.

MOM and DAD are HOME!!!!!!!!!

Can you tell we are excited? LOL We have missed them so much. Haven't seen them yet but will on the weekend.

 

I caught something at work and my tummy feels like it has a million pieces of broken glass in it. Awful feeling let me tell you.

Feeling Hopeful

We made it through another week!

We have had weird weather here in Colorado. Lots of fronts not much snow or rain. We need more or we will be in lots of trouble come summer.

I am so sad that one journaler has left j-land because of rude mean people. What I want to know is why are they picking on this person. Do they feel better? I hope they can sleep at night. Because its wrong to do what they did.

Tomorrow is Sunday. We will have my sisters B-day dinner. Her birthday is Wednesday. We will have a dinner on that day too but not as fancy. She wanted prime rib so we will cook that for her with baked potato and a salad. Strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Mom and Dad have been painting. Sure will be glad when they come home. Miss them lots.

Feeling Frustrated

Spring Break is flying by. Going way to fast.

Woke up this morning to .......SNOW showers. UGH this one surprised them. Its been cold and dreary all day. The next front is on Sunday into Monday. Come on Snow day lol.

Easter was nice. My sis and her son came for dinner. We had spiral sliced ham, cheesy scalloped potatoes, broccoli with cheese and cheese cake for dessert.

Talked with Mom and Grandpa has walking pneumonia. This crud is everywhere.

Well gonna go and start dinner. I think it will be steak and fries.

Feeling Chillin'

Sorry its been so long since i have posted.

Here in Colorado the flu has hit big time. Everyone seems to have it. We have been battling it for it seems like months. And also found out the flu shot this year is no good. LOL the flu is a different strain so lots are getting sick. You run a high fever 103 and throw up and hurt all over.

Last week we got to go and see Lucky's baby. Remember Lucky was the cow who's mom had her and then left and she survived on her own for 2 weeks. The open space Ranger found her. She is such people cow lol. She loves apples and tomatoes. Her baby is a Bull. They have 17 calf's right now and expect a total of 25.

Well I am off! Thank you Jae and Sonya for asking where are you? lol

Feeling Hopeful

Well made it through another Monday whew!

Tomorrow i have to make Birthday cake for about 400 people(kids) I also have 250 cinnamon rolls to bake and frost by 7:30 am. Honor roll breakfast. Ugh i think this will be the last year i do this. Yes i get paid but this year i feel no one appreciates it. So next year they can fend for their selves.

I have my new freezer out for bid. It goes by lowest bid. It will be 15 ft by 20 ft inside measurements. I can't wait. They told me they hope to have it in place this summer. I will get lots of pictures.

I belong to a group Debbie and Stephs graphic group. I love this group i can't do tags but others can and they share:) Anyhow i got picked as Member of the week. Wow i never get picked for anything. I am so  honored.

 

Snow is in the forecast for tonight and then again this weekend. When we get the snow this late its usually really wet and heavy. Breaks tree branches makes roofs leak.

 

Well off to bed tomorrow is so going to be a drag......

Happy Valentines Day!

I hope each and everyone of you have a great day.

Today at work I got 2 valentines. One was a green paper crane. A little girl gave one to me and my cashier. I love paper cranes. The other valentine was a bag of m&m's. A 8th grade boy gave it to me. He had forgot his lunch money last week. I made sure he got to eat lunch. He is always so polite and kind. It made my day:)

I also got a six red roses from DH:) and he gave six to Amanda:) I got him a Lion that plays Wild thing....he moves while singing.

Today is for love but true love comes from the heart. It doesn't mean buying roses or chocolates or jewelry. Let me explain what i mean.

Yesterday I left to go to work. I was heading in and got stopped at the light. The light turned green and i was shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. And it wouldn't  go into to gear. I was dumbfounded. Never had this happen before. Cars are behind me. And i can't get it into gear:(  So i got it into the turn lane. And coasted to a stop. At this point I am trying to find the emergency flashers. Find them and then i call David. I was so frightened. They drive to fast on this road. I told him what had happened and to please hurry i needed help. I prayed that no one would hit me. In know time the green truck was behind me:) And behind him was a policeman. The cop car had a push bar on it so David got in the Subaru and they pushed it off the road.

David pulled the car home. He got to look at it the shift handle had come off of the shifter. So i got to drive it to work. Its funny without the handle but it works.

My dear Husband came to my rescue. I was so glad to see him. I have thanked him. But i wanted to make sure he knows how much I love him! So David Lee I LOVE YOU!!!!! Thank you for loving me and for always being there for me.

Feeling Hopeful

Today was warm:) Yesterday was warmer. Snow is in the forecast for tomorrow. Oh Joy!

I gave the kids their Valentines candy today. They were so happy. I have a good group of girls. We are learning about Creation and Noah's Ark. When we are done learning then we play Hangman (Bible) I ask them questions regarding Creation next week will be both.

Talked with Dad and Mom and they said its 80 degrees in Benson today. Brats its cold up here. In the 50's and the wind is chilly.

We have been battling the crud here. I am taking Mucinex and Alka Seltzer Cold tablets. I feel like a truck has run me over. And put me away wet LOL.

Praying for all the families in the Tornado area's.

Well I am off to try and catch up on my alerts. Holy cow you people write alot lol. I love to read each one.

Feeling Hopeful

What a day! Woke up and it was cold and overcast. By the time i got to work it was starting to SNOW!!!!! Great Monday and Snow.

Work has been a nightmare. My supervisor called and asked about the vending machine. I told her what i knew about it. The guy who i could not understand was fixing it. I hoped anyway lol. So we have had the machine for 2 months and it has only worked less than half of that:( She then told me she would see me this afternoon. I asked her for what? The meeting for the merger of Casey to Platt. With Linda the big boss and Melinda, Sue and me. Only thing was Melinda forgot to invite me LOL. I love my job hehehe.

I went to the meeting and got really good news. I get my FREEZER!!!!!

Happy Dance, Happy Dance.

So now i have to pick which one i want. I know this is so boring but thanks for reading.

Mom called this afternoon and Benson had SNOW!!!!!!! Arizona has SNOW lol to think they went down that way to get away from it. Hahahaha. Stay warm Mom and Dad:)

Well off to look at freezers.
