The last 4 days

Ok where to begin........ Sunday night we lost our dog Stoker. We went up to Mom and Dads to bury him. Went back to dig a hole and David had the pick axe. He got a tree root and was pushing with all his might and the root broke and he fell forward. He couldn't feel his hands or neck it was numb. Dad ran and called 911. The fire dept came and 5 min's later the ambulance was there. They put David on a back board and transported him to the Hospital in Boulder.

I followed and the did a cat scan and MRI. He tore the cartilage in his neck he also had narrowing of the spine. Because he has Kaiser they had to move him. We have a wonderful hospital in Lafayette but oh no we got sent to south Denver. I followed the ambulance down. I stayed with him. I will tell you about that adventure tomorrow.

I am going to delete all of my alerts. And start fresh tomorrow. As we are home:)

Twenty-six years ago...... We had just eaten lunch and took a quick nap then headed to the church:) Yep 26 years ago, it doesn't seem that long ago.

We went fishing yesterday and caught 5 rainbow trout. The day was perfect. Today we are just enjoying being together. Tomorrow we are going fishing with Dad at Barker. So hopefully we will have more fish.

Thank you all for the prayers when skip died. I let Amanda read your comments and it did help her alot. We buried him at the folks. They have a lot of pets buried up there.

I think we might go out to eat at Efrains tonight but not sure yet. It is still early, and i told David no rushing around just slow and enjoy our time together.

I love you more than words can express. You are the one I love to be with. Thank you for picking me to be your wife. And I thank God for you every day. I love you David Lee!!!!! Happy Anniversary here's to 26 more.:)

Schools out for summer:)

Yes school is out for summer! We had our last day May 29th. Had to work that Friday. My sis came and helped me finish up. Bring on next year LOL.

We have 12 tomato plants in buckets. They are doing great. David calls them his babies lol. Also have 1 bell pepper and 1 jalapeno and 1 chili pepper. We have bell peppers already on the plant. Also have jalapeno and the other pepper starting to form. We also got a zucchini plant. woohoo can't wait as its been forever since we grew anything. I will get Swiss chard and beets and turnips seeds and will plant them this week.

We had kraut burgers for dinner last night. Oh man were they good. Today we had Ham & pineapple, asparagus, mashed potatoes with gravy, for lunch so yummy.

Its been hot here but the last couple of days a front came through and its cooled down a bunch. High 60's to low 70's. Not bad at all.

Memorial Day Weekend:)

Hello all. I know its been forever. Lots happening here in my neck of the woods. School is coming to the end quicker this year. We get out the 29 th of May. Not complaining but so much to do. And never enough time to do it.

We have a Union for Unit C employees, (Food Service, Custodians, Bus Drivers, Maintenance) So now begins the process of negotiating for a better contract. Should be fun:)

This last Wednesday early morning i woke up so sick. So i called in and went back to bed, thinking it was just the flu. Oh man it got worse as the morning went on. I hurt all over my hair even hurt lol. So i called the docs office and they told me to come right in. Get there and they wanted to do an EKG. My sis asked why a EKG the nurse said well you are having chest pains. HA HA no i told her i hurt all over. The doc comes in looks and throat, ears asked me if my ear hurt told him no everything hurt. He listened to my chest and heard rattling. So off to X-ray. At this point i couldn't quit crying. Get the 2 X-rays go back to the office. Which by the way was freezing. He came in and showed us the X-rays. My right lower lung looked like cotton candy. Not a good thing. I have pneumonia. I did ask him to put me on something stronger than Z-pack or A-pack they are not strong enough for me. So he put me on Levaquin 750 mg one tablet a day for 5 days then 500 mg for another 5. I took one pill before we left the office.(he had samples woohoo) So i am trying to feel better. I will get better at entrys School is almost out for summer:)

May Day and Tomatoes

May Day! Does anyone remember May day baskets? Growing up we would pick wildflowers and deliver them to the neighbors knock on the door and run and hide. Growing up we lived in the mountains so our neighbors were quite a distance. I remember what fun it was.

The beginning of the week it was in the 80's HOT HOT HOT! Then last night the wind picked up and oh boy it got chilly quick. This morning we woke up to rain with sleet in it. Got to work and boy did it start to SNOW. Huge flakes it was beautiful to see. We need the moisture so bad. Not sure what the next front will bring but its chilly right now.

This year DH wants to try again to grow the big huge tomatoes. So we got 2 Big Boy tomato plants. And we also got a Lemon Boy tomato plant. We will also get a Sweet 100 these are smaller than a cherry tomato and 100% sweeter. And maybe one more tomato plant just not sure what kind yet. We also are going to get a Jalapeno, bell pepper and maybe strawberry plant.

This will be fun because we are growing everything in 5 gallon buckets. I will get pictures when we get them all planted. One year we grew tomatoes in pots put inside racing tires. The heat from the tires kept them warm at night. We are so excited to try this way of growing food.

Well better jump off gotta finish dinner BLT's

Its been forever Sorry.

Wow life is moving fast super fast right now. But no excuses. I have missed you guys.

MOM and DAD are HOME!!!!!!!!!

Can you tell we are excited? LOL We have missed them so much. Haven't seen them yet but will on the weekend.

I caught something at work and my tummy feels like it has a million pieces of broken glass in it. Awful feeling let me tell you.

We made it through another week!

We have had weird weather here in Colorado. Lots of fronts not much snow or rain. We need more or we will be in lots of trouble come summer.

I am so sad that one journaler has left j-land because of rude mean people. What I want to know is why are they picking on this person. Do they feel better? I hope they can sleep at night. Because its wrong to do what they did.

Tomorrow is Sunday. We will have my sisters B-day dinner. Her birthday is Wednesday. We will have a dinner on that day too but not as fancy. She wanted prime rib so we will cook that for her with baked potato and a salad. Strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Mom and Dad have been painting. Sure will be glad when they come home. Miss them lots.

Ok off to catch up on journals.

Spring Break

Spring Break is flying by. Going way to fast.

Woke up this morning to .......SNOW showers. UGH this one surprised them. Its been cold and dreary all day. The next front is on Sunday into Monday. Come on Snow day lol.

Easter was nice. My sis and her son came for dinner. We had spiral sliced ham, cheesy scalloped potatoes, broccoli with cheese and cheese cake for dessert.

Talked with Mom and Grandpa has walking pneumonia. This crud is everywhere.

Well gonna go and start dinner. I think it will be steak and fries.

Wow its been a while

Sorry its been so long since i have posted.

Here in Colorado the flu has hit big time. Everyone seems to have it. We have been battling it for it seems like months. And also found out the flu shot this year is no good. LOL the flu is a different strain so lots are getting sick. You run a high fever 103 and throw up and hurt all over.

Last week we got to go and see Lucky's baby. Remember Lucky was the cow who's mom had her and then left and she survived on her own for 2 weeks. The open space Ranger found her. She is such people cow lol. She loves apples and tomatoes. Her baby is a Bull. They have 17 calf's right now and expect a total of 25.

Well I am off! Thank you Jae and Sonya for asking where are you? lol
