My Turn

Princess Aurora at Carpe Diem started this, and I picked it up from Marti at Porch Stories.

Okay, join me in a game. Ask me 3 questions in my comment spot. 2.In your journal, recommend a movie, an artist, and a musical artist or album. 3, Invite people to ask you 3 questions in your comment spot. 4. Answer the questions you asked in my journal. 5. In another entry, add the questions you were asked in your comment section. We'll get to know each other just a little better than we did yesterday.

      Okay, please recommend:

     1. A movie    -   I love movies. I love new movies and old movies, and movies in black and white and even in color. I was going to recommend a Frank Capra movie, just because they're entertaining and they always teach a lesson, like taking a moment to appreciate life. Instead I thought of one that hasn't been remade and is an all time classic. If you love a good movie with a wierd twist, rent Sunset Boulevard with William Holden and Gloria Swanson.

     2. An artist (books or comics) - I've offered a few photos of statues I've recently become aware of by Lorado Taft. He amazes me. He worked mostly at the turn of the last century. This was a time when ladies still wore long dresses and men still wore stiff collars. Still, the homes, and the furnishings were ultra modern, even by our standards. For that matter, pick up a book during your next trip to the library about the Prairie School of Architecture, particularly Frank Lloyd Wright. The entries will amaze you.

     3. A musical artist, song, or album   -  Everyone knows I'm a big time Beatle fan. I'd recommend Hey Jude or Sgt. Pepper, or another album. I also love Andrea Bocelli. Anything he sings is wonderful. One of my favorites is Romanza.

Now ask me three questions in the comment section, and I will do my best to answer in another entry.

I asked Marti the following, and these are my answers to those questions.

    1. Is there some place you've never visited that you would really like to see?

I want to take a trip along Highway 1, from Maine to Florida.

     2. Is there a place you'd like to return to?

I want to return to Philadelphia again. I'm possibly the only person on earth to make it there and not see the Liberty Bell or the inside of Independence Hall. I'd also like to go back to Colorado.

     3. Is there a special memory that you'd like to relive?

There are times I shared with my children that I wouldn't mind sharing again when my grandchildren come along. I remember when Pizza had her first litter. She hid under a bed. All four of us squeezed in, and without disturbing her, watched as she gave birth to Blacky. There are other times, books we read and meals we shared together, the simple things, that I would like to do again with my grandkids.

    Hey Jude,
I stopped by Princess' Journal and did not understand the game. But now I am on track. I have posted my response to the original three questions on my journal. Now here are the three I would like to ask you.

    1.  What is your favorite quote?

    2.  Who is your favorite author and why?

    3.  Tell me about a scent that reminds you of something.

    Have fun!
