Hearing Vienna Teng -- Between

A Little Night Music

I had posted this while I was beta-blogging. Now that I'm officially blogging, I thought I'd give it another airing, because I think it's good, and a nice way to ease into a Thursday evening:

Go to this page and click on the link for the song "Between." If you're a fan of Sarah McLachlan-like music, you're going to get all swoony over this. The song's from Vienna Teng's debut album Waking Hour, which is one of those little indie releases that you'd never hear about unless someone you know pointed you in its direction. Well, hi. I'm someone you know.

Let me know what you think -- I'll probably spotlight other indie artists from time to time if you guys like it.

I checked it out, bought it from CD Baby, and can't stop listening to it. I am particularly taken with 'the tower' and 'lullabye for a stormy night'. She's got a nice variety of music on the CD; it's not all Sarah McLachlanesque. Thanks for the pointer. I wouldn't have found her without you.

We're McLachlan fans, and liked the clips on Teng's site. Thanks for linking!

Glad to hear you are out of beta, John, thanks for the link. We'll have to agree to disagree on the picture thing, though. AOL's strengths which are it's ease of use for new netizens are often its downfall with more experienced users: those who want to be able to (at least) have options to do more.

Checked out Between. Vocals are nice. Drums are a bit redundant, but effective for this song. Not bad.
