Hearing Both Ends Burning -- Roxy Music

Something to Squabble About

Okay, we haven't had a nice political dust-up around these here parts yet, so let's kick some dirt around. Washington Monthly ranks the last four presidents (including the current one) on a Mendacity Index, to try to determine sort-of-scientifically which of our recent presidents, well, lies the most. The results are here, and there's a link there that allows you to take the test they created for yourself (just in case you disagree with the findings).

Two things to note here: WM is mostly liberal, as are those who helped formulate the quiz, and WM itself ranks the validity of its findings as "somewhere between the Periodic Table and the U.S. News & World Report college rankings." But then again, are you going to let a little thing like that get in the way of your screed-filled fun? Start your engines, ladies and gentlemen. Let's hear what you have to say.

Opinions are worth nothing unless they're acted upon. Michael J. Foster, member of the movement for the Your Catholic Voice Foundation, dedicated to Living a New Culture of Life concerned with our voice being heard by Government, allowing and considering our petitions without biaz to affiliation. Thanks Mr. Scalzi for letting me be heard......Michael.

Well, I disagree, quite obviously. I don't think "everybody" who has an opinion falls into hard and fast political camps, and I think its simplistic to assume that they do.

Here's a clue, Scalzi. Everyone who agrees with this gack is already over at Democratic Underground. Everyone who's heard the " EW, Ew Bush is a liar!" meme to death just left your site.

Oh, BTW, you really need to keep up. Washington Monthly is "mostly" liberal the way the Weekly Standard is "mostly" conservative. It hasn't been neo-liberal for some time now. After Peters gave up the editorship, the new guy whose name I can't be bothered to remember steered it hard-partisan Democra
