Coming up from AOL Journals

One of the things I like about the AOL Journalers (and I mean that seriously, I'm not being archly sarcastic or anything) is that you're not afraid to sit down and jot off a note to me tell me all the things you want from your AOL Journals. I then send those notes off to my AOL overlords, who digest them in that dark and mysterious way of theirs.

What's good about this is that your comments/suggestions/complaints become part of the expansion and improvement process for AOL Journals. Here are some of the things that some of you have asked for that are being worked on as we speak:

-- Improved "Help" documents for AOL Journals
-- Cut, copy and paste commands accessible through mouse click, not just though keyboard
-- E-mail notification when readers post comments to your AOL Journal
-- Expanded text length for Journal entries and comments
-- Improved counters

I'm told that some of these improvements you'll see within the next few weeks, while others (mail notification, expanded text length) should be available in a few months. You've asked for these things, and the folks at AOL Journals are working hard to make them available for you.

So, yes, in case you're wondering, your feedback and comments do make a real difference to us. The more you tell us about what you like and what you want to see improved, the better we can make AOL Journals work for you. So keep them coming.

Comments should be MUCH longer. I do like how having an AIM screen name allows you to post comments. Does simply having an AIM screen name allow you to have a journal, or do you have to subscribe to AOL? I would also suggest having a variety of designs or skins for the journals, or even letting users customize their own.
