Hearing She Will Have Her Way -- Neil Finn

Clark: I'm In. Who's Out?

So, Wesley Clark's in the race for President, which makes a nice round number of 10 Democratic candidates out there aiming for the brass ring of the nomination. I personally know relatively little about the man or his politics other than he's a Democrat and a former four star general, but then, I suppose that's why candidates for president announce their intentions a year ahead of the election: It gives you time to think about it.

However, I did find this observation of the man in this Washington Post story to be interesting:

McCaffrey acknowledges that Clark was not the most popular four-star general in the Army leadership. "This is no insult to Army culture, a culture I love and admire," McCaffrey said, "but he was way too bright, way too articulate, way too good looking and perceived to be way too wired to fit in with our culture. He was not one of the good ol' boys."

With Clark in, I think we're pretty well set for Democratic presidential candidates; I'm waiting for the inevitable shakeout and would not be above starting an informal poll on which Democratic candidate is going to be first out of the pool. My own guess on the matter would be Dennis Kucinich, who (no offense, Dennis) is only slightly more likely to become the next President of the United States than I am.

So tell me: What are your thoughts on Clark? And which Democratic candidate is going to be the first one to drop? Give me your thoughts: Send along a link to your Journal or slip a note in the comments.
