Hearing That Great Love Sound -- The Ravonettes
AOL Journalers On...
Okay, then. Let's see what AOLers are thinking about stuff. First: Hurricane Isabel, which is currently tromping through the East.
EmperorCory has two days off from school and is planning hurricane-themed games. Live that dream, Cory!
Mcstrings wonders about the power of prayer to move hurricanes.
Lantzilla tried to get a flight out of DC but couldn't. Now he's stuck. And he's audio blogging the experience, too, while he's driving, no less.
Moving on to Wesley Clark:
Bmiller224 figures that Clark will quickly close the gap on Dean. I think that's pretty likely, too.
Fdtate313 says of the number of Democrats running: "Ten candidates? Let's weed a few of these jokers out and get down to serious business."
LoneLawyer hints darkly that one of the Clintons might not be happy about a Clark presidency.
Go on and see what these folks have to say, and don't be shy about leaving your comments or making your own comments about these topics on your own Journals. Start a conversation, folks. That's what it's all about.

I've been surprised at how a lot of people seemed to think that Clark's candidacy was some kind of stalking horse for Hillary Clinton. I don't think there's anything to that. LoneLawyer's take is kind of the opposite of that.

Just a note: I've deleted a couple of comments here which I felt were not apropos to the posting and have invited the writer of the comments to have a conversation with me about the comments through e-mail instead (in case you're wondering: the poster was wondering what I have against gay people. The answer: Not a thing). This is just a reminder: In comments, it's nice to stick to the topic at hand. Also a reminder: I police my comment threads like anyone else.

It was either Ronald Reagan or Jimmy Carter who once said,
"It's a recession when your neighbor is out of work. It is a DEPRESSION when YOU are out of work.
Does the Clinton-Gore slogan "It's the economy stupid" ring any bells?
Rave about the republicans if you wish. I wouldn't vote republican in this next election for all the profits of Haliburton.
