Hearing My kitty purring its little brain out.

Your Change, Sir

Think it's easy giving change? Think again: This change maker quiz puts you in charge of the till and requires you to make exact sums with coins and bills. I got three right before I gave someone too much change. That's coming out of my salary! If nothing else, it'll give a little more respect for the teenager at the gas station who rings up your soda and candy (provided, of course, he or she gets the change amount right).

I work in a gas station/mini mart, and no sometimes it is not easy, but that is why they invited registers that figure it out for you...lol

I think the majority of those teenagers at the gas station don't even know how to make change. Most registers tell you how much to give, and people are lost if they accidentally push in the wrong amount of money. I know very few people who actually know how to make change by counting up from the amount of the sale to the amount of money given. But, I guess it could be worse than that. Some don't know their multiplication tables. :::gasp::: LOL

I have found that the easiest way to make change is to simply count up from the total of the bill to the amount of money received. For example, the bill is $5.29 and the amount received is $10.00. You would count 1 penny up to 5.30, 2 dimes up to 5.50, 2 quarters up to 6.00, and 4 dollars to 10.00.
