Hearing Still breathing! I know, it's a fascinating sound.

Cheese!

"

I found this to be very amusing: Why I Hate Cheese. It's a short documentary on why this one young man doesn't like cheese, and his attempt to try cheese, which as you might imagine, turns out to be traumatic. Especially amusing is the dramatic reenactment of an event in our subject's young life which might explain his cheese aversion.

For the record, I love cheese, but I can totally understand where this guy is coming from. Cheese is just one of many foods I suspect entered our culinary sphere out of a dare, as in "Hey, see that fermented, smelly milk? Yeah, I dare you to eat that." Search your heart. You know it to be true.

It's similar to how there are those who don't like chocolate. Being extremely fond of a good dark chocolate myself, it just seems completely foreign to me. <shrug> To each his own tastes, though.

Bless you for writing this piece. As a person who hasn't liked cheese all my life, the reaction of others is unbelievable. How can you not like cheese? I just DON'T LIKE CHEESE. Never did, never will.

Eee-yeah. *Urp. Gak. Gurgle.* If I realized what went into the making of most food, I'd probably enjoy it much, much less.

In the mood to really whet your appetite? Check out http://www.imbetterwithfood.com/adess/zz9blood.shtml. It's a dessert delicacy: Blood Pudding. What dinner party would be complete without it?

    Heh.
